Beginner Affiliate Tips

For most beginner affiliates, getting traffic is one of the biggest challenges.  One of the best things you can do before getting traffic is really spend the time putting together a very informative page full of content where you’ll be bringing traffic to.

No sense having traffic if you don’t have a very good page.  One of the best things you could have is a personal review of the product your trying to promote.  Starting with your own story about back pain for them to empathize with you.

From there, what you’ll want to do is tell them about a great free resource that you stumbled upon which changed your life.  That can be one of our free back pain relief guides or our audios, videos, and 7 day Back Pain Cure paperback book.

Here are some good quick solid ways to get some traffic to your site and convert them into leads…

Coming up with daily or weekly blog posts to build up the content on your site

The point here is to be active.  People will not find your site unless you are constantly promoting it.  Give people good information that they can spend some time reading on your site and learning.

Another strategy is to build up your own email list with our brandable PDF.  You can use this as a simple freebie that you give away yourself for them to download.  If you don’t already have an Email Service Provider(ESP), get one.  Some good affordable ones are:

Buying traffic

Be very careful when you first try this as it can break you.  Here are some sites to buy traffic on:

Google Adwords
Yahoo
MSN/Bing
Facebook

Here are some tips to keep you from getting in trouble

1. set a limit
2. keep a spreadsheet with all your tests so you can refer back to what works and what does not.
3. go for the long tail keywords and not the most expensive and most obvious keywords
4. Generally speaking, a succesful campaign can not have clicks costing more than $0.40.

If possible, use an exit pop on your landing pages to really try and maximize the traffic you’re driving to your site.
