Recently I had the pleasure of interviewing one of the world’s leading experts on what I believe may be the world’s most overlooked source of pain.
It’s so common that some believe it’s the primary cause of 75% of all pain and a factor in nearly every painful condition. They’re called trigger points.
During our interview, we spoke about what causes trigger points, different ways you can treat them, and even some of her personal favorite tools for treating them, like the Theracane.
Anyhow, the trigger point expert I interviewed, Amber Davies, co-wrote with her father Clair Davies one of the best resources I’ve ever read on how to treat your own trigger points, The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a clinician or barely know your ankle from your elbow, this book will definitely help. A couple years ago I recorded a video book review on The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook. Since the interview reminded me of that review, I dug that up to share with everyone again today.
Like I said in my video book review, trigger points are not the only cause of back pain. But for this particular cause of pain I continue to highly recommend The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook as a top-notch resource.
Oh, and the interview with Amber went so well that I’ve decided to send it to subscribers of both of our premium print newsletters, Get Healthy & Fit and Live Pain Free. If you’re a subscriber, look for that interview in your mailbox later this month!
