What happens in your stomach can cause pain in your joints.
So says the Journal of Inflammation in a review titled, Anti-Inflammatory And Anti-Arthritic Effect Of Yucca Schidigera.
(Yucca Schidigera – also known as Mojave Yucca – is in our world class pain relief formula Heal-N-Soothe, which you can find here.)
The researchers discussed a component in yucca called “steroidal saponins.”
Steroidal saponins gained fame in the 90’s after Eastern European Olympic athletes let it leak that taking tribulus terrestris (which contains steroidal saponins) helped their athletic performance.
Some animal studies suggest this is because they increase levels of testosterone and increase sex drive and performance (which quickly led to their use in erectile dysfunction supplements).
This new research suggests the steroidal saponins in yucca also have a powerful anti inflammatory and anti-arthritic effects.
It turns out Mojave Yucca contains as much as 10% of steroidal saponins in the stem dry matter, making it one of the richest commercial sources of saponins available.
How It Reduces Your Pain (INTERESTING!)
Mojave Yucca doesn’t act directly on your joints like traditional glucosamine or chondroitin joint supplements. Instead, it helps you absorb ALL nutrients that enter your body by breaking down the “bad bacteria” in your gut. (Learn more on the link between gut health and pain here.)
Why does this help your joints?
The steroidal saponins in yucca act on the intestinal flora. This regulates the balance of the bacterial and yeast colonies in the colon. By stimulating friendly flora and inhibiting others, yucca saponins may then indirectly promote the absorption of other nutrients and reduce toxins.
So even if you are supplementing with glucosamine, chondroitin, or any other “joint” supplement, if your gut isn’t healthy, you may not be absorbing those nutrients.
And if you don’t absorb them, they WILL NOT do your joints any good.
This is one of the reasons why I’ve included yucca in our best selling pain relief formula Heal-N-Soothe.
You see, beating pain (once and for all) usually requires a few different approaches.
Maybe you need a massage to relax tense muscles. Maybe you need a far infrared heating pad to increase circulation. Or maybe you just need more sleep.
Or maybe your digestive system is out of whack. Maybe you need something like yucca to get your gut health in order so you absorb the proper nutrients.
Everyone is different.
Which is why I’ve assembled ten of the most powerful pain fighting ingredients in Heal-N-Soothe. Each one works along a different pathway to heal your injuries and soothe your pain.
Is there something in Heal-N-Soothe that will help you?
