The Back Joy FAQ’s

What is BackJoy?

BackJoy is revolutionary, easy to use, and completely portable sitting device that prevents back pain from occurring when you sit, so you can finally sit comfortably, anywhere. What if my back hurts when I try sitting on BackJoy? Sometimes changing your sitting posture can cause temporary discomfort. Should you feel increased tightness when first using BackJoy, limit usage to15 minutes, then 30, and upward over a few days or weeks. With gradually increased usage will come strength and lasting relief. If there is any increased pain, stop using BackJoy. If BackJoy does not help relieve your back pain, consult a Medical Professional.

How do I use BackJoy?

It’s as easy as 1-2-3. There are no straps or buckles.

1. Place it on your seat so the logo will be under your left thigh. Do not put it behind your back!

2. Sit on it and pull it forward until it’s snug against your buttocks muscles. Adjust until you feel the cupping action!

3. Skootch. Lean a little forward, push with your feet to “skootch” the BackJoy with your buttocks towards the rear of the seat until you find your most comfortable position. Sit back and relax in comfort!

When should I feel results?

Many users experience immediate relief, and some require several weeks of regular use to feel the benefits of BackJoy. Your results will depend upon your underlying conditions and how often you use BackJoy. To get the quickest results and greatest benefits, use BackJoy according to directions as often as possible, everywhere you sit.

What if I don’t feel anything when I sit on BackJoy?

If you don’t feel any change when you sit on BackJoy, make sure you have closely followed the sitting instructions and your buttocks muscles are firmly cupped. The best way to feel the BackJoy difference is this: Sit on BackJoy for a period of time, then remove it from under you. Feel your gluteus muscles flattened under your body weight. Now put it back. Feel your pelvis floating in a cradle of muscle tissue.

Why is BackJoy Different?

BackJoy’s Orthotic Cradling System™ makes it the only device that prevents the pain causing tightening of back muscles that is triggered when the gluteus muscles flatten under the user’s weight when sitting. This patented Orthotic Cradling System™ allows BackJoy to relieve more pressure and strain than any other device or chair available. BackJoy does not rely on gimmicks like heat, massage, or overly soft foam to trick you into thinking it is doing something for you. It is when you don’t feel much of anything that you are doing the most to prevent back pain from occurring, or developing a back injury from sitting. This means you should not feel much at all, just comfort.

Will BackJoy work for my condition?

BackJoy provides relief by reducing the pressures that can aggravate the underlying causes of a wide variety of acute and chronic back pain such as low back pain, herniated and degenerated discs, back injuries, sciatica, and many more. As with any medical question, consult a medical professional to see if BackJoy will help your specific, underlying issue.

Soreness

Aching

Strain

Burning

Why is BackJoy so small and comfortable?

BackJoy must be smaller than your buttocks. It is designed to cradle the
4″-5″ space around the two sitting bones at the base of your pelvis. It is most effective for adults from 118 to 285 lbs. It is because BackJoy is so small that it can literally float your spinal system in natural cushioning. It’s the floating in your natural soft tissues that feels so comfortable.

Will BackJoy prevent back pain from occurring?

Sitting for long periods of time can cause repetitive stress injuries, which may lead to a variety of back problems. BackJoy can be used as a preventative maintenance device to help you avoid a repetitive stress injury caused by long term sitting, or to prevent old back pain from recurring.

How do I clean my BackJoy?

BackJoy’s fabric has been treated with a stain guard solution. Wash with mild soap and water or standard upholstery cleaner. You can treat your BackJoy as if it were a piece of furniture at home with fabric that has been protected against stains.

Where can I use BackJoy?

Turn any seat into an orthotic pain reliever! Using BackJoy on any of the below sitting surfaces will improve your posture and allow your spinal system to float in a comfortable cradle of natural cushioning. Only BackJoy can prevent the strain caused by muscular flattening that will occur in all of these sitting situations.

Can I travel with BackJoy?

Back joy is Easy To Travel With! You can’t damage BackJoy. Roll it up or bend it anyway you need to fit it in a briefcase or carry on. Your body heat will return it to shape. Slip BackJoy in your carry on any way you want. Bend it around your Lap Top for extra protection.

Is BackJoy too small for me?

BackJoy comes in one size, which will fit just about everyone. At first glance, many people think that BackJoy will be too small for them to use. In fact, BackJoy is not supposed to cradle a user’s entire buttocks at all. BackJoy’s size and shape were developed to support the bones found at the base of your pelvis, not your entire buttocks.

BackJoy is designed to fit the medically and scientifically accepted average distance between the sitting bones (the ischial tuberosities) that rest at the base of the pelvis. Unlike arm and leg bones, the pelvis has a very small range of widths, depths and heights from person to person no matter what gender, age, race, or height that person might be. The buttocks, of course, are made up of soft tissues, which are very different from person to person. BackJoy works by cupping the around the pelvis area, it is able to deliver an effective method of back pain relief for people as little as 90 pounds or as much as 400 lbs.

Do I have to sit a certain way for BackJoy to work?

Your back is unique. With BackJoy, you can sit the way you want to sit. Peer reviewed orthopedic back journals suggest the best way for any individual to sit is in the position they are most comfortable. That’s why BackJoy is designed to work like a personalized orthotic for your unique back. It will adapt itself to accommodate a “slouched” posterior pelvic tilt, a sitting straight-up anterior tilt, and everything in between. No matter what position you like to sit in, BackJoy’s Orthotic Cradling System will remain active.

What will my doctor say about BackJoy?

BackJoy can work hand-in-hand with your therapeutic regime. Bring this brochure and your BackJoy on your next visit to learn how. Ask your doctor to recommend a sitting posture for you that will transfer the most pressure and strain off your specific underlying condition. BackJoy will not work for you if you have been confined to a wheel chair, have any form of muscular atrophy, or if you have trouble standing or walking for any length of time. Before using this or any other product, consult a physician to make sure the origin of your back pain is not due to a condition that requires medical attention.

Does BackJoy work on soft couches?

Yes, BackJoy’s Orthotic Cradling System will float your spinal system over a soft sitting surface just like it will over a hard chair. Though it may not feel like BackJoy is doing as much work, don’t be fooled. When you sit down into the cushions of a soft couch, your gluteus muscles can stretch and flatten more than they would in a hard chair. Only BackJoy can prevent this from happening on soft couches or in your favorite chair.

Please click her for more information on the Back Joy

If you’ve ever suffered from intense pain in the neck, shoulder or upper back
you know that it can make getting through the day extremely difficult because
there are so many things we do that require our arms and head.

I know exactly what it’s like as I’ve had my fair share of injuries, including
shoulder problems brought on by weight lifting as well as a month long stiff
neck caused by a nasty mountain bike accident.

So I know a thing or two about how to deal with and eliminate these aches
and pains. Plus, over the past 5 years, here at the Healthy Back Institute
we’ve helped thousands of people overcome neck, shoulder and upper
back pain.

Here’s what we’ve found to work the best:

1. If brought on by an accident, as quickly as possible take Arnica.

Arnica is a homeopathic remedy that works very well when taken right after
injury and they even make small viles of pellets you can keep on you. I now
keep some in my car and also in my mountain biking pack.

2. Reduce the inflammation as quickly as possible.

There are many things you can do to reduce the inflammation. You can use
ice for the first 24-48 hours. Elevate the limb or injured part of the body.

You can also use a natural anti-inflammatory like Lifezyme Plus.
Provided there’s no open wound you can also use a topical pain relieving cream
like Rub on Relief.

3. Eliminate muscle spasms and relieve tight, stiff muscles

Muscles in spasms can wreak havoc on your body and what many people
don’t realize is your muscles can be a in a state of “semi” spasms.. meaning
the spasm isn’t intense enough for you to notice but while mild it can still pull
your body out alignment and cause other problems.

One way to address this is trigger point therapy which can be administered
by a trained therapist and much of it you can even do yourself.

4. Ensure your mindset is programmed for recovery

Believe it or not, your mind… how you think, what you feel, etc all plays a
MAJOR role in your ability to heal and recover. And if you don’t believe it,
I challenge you to do some research and see what you discover. Start by
reading this special report on the subject.

But in the meantime, just remember that you must tell yourself that you
WILL overcome this and you must believe it.

5. Identify and address your muscle imbalances

Whether your pain was caused by an accident or not, you have imbalances…
we all do and the worse they are the more likely they are to create conditions
and cause pain.

If you haven’t already identified your imbalances using our best-selling
Lose The Back Pain system you really need to. You can’ expect to get lasting
relief if you don’t uncover and address the underlying cause.

And before you try to say “my condition was caused by ______” let me remind
you that regardless of what you may have been diagnosed with and what you
have been told, or what you believe caused it, I can promise you that muscle
imbalances ARE a factor…

In fact, I’m willing to bet that they are a BIGGER factor than you may think and
that once you start to address them you WILL start to see improvements…

And often times people see improvements in so many other areas in addition
to the “condition or pain” that got them started in the first place.

Well, I wish you the best and hope that you will take action and continue to
learn and experiment.

If you ever have questions please post them in our discussion forum.

Talk to you again soon…

Subject: Re: 54 Year Old Nurse Shares Her Secrets For Sciatica Relief
To: jesse@gethealthyandfit.com

Hi Jesse,
Over the past year I have become a fan of you and what you’re doing on your
website. I was 33 yrs old when my son was born. When he was 3 months old I
got out of a rocking chair and “tweaked” the wrong way and ended up spending
2 weeks flat on the floor unable to move icing nonstop (luckily I have family
around). I was in soo much pain, I’d wake up in tears..not that I slept with a new
born in the house.

Completely exhausted, I had an MRI that reported I had herniated my L5-S1
disc area. That started my journey into researching how to take care of my back
and how to get those core muscles some strength after pregnancy.

3 unsuccessful cortizone injections later, hours of physical therapy, meds etc.
nothing worked. I used to be a marathon runner and lead a very active lifestyle.
I was determined to get back to enjoying my family and life!

Then one night in my quest I came across your website and the inversion table.
I ordered your books, dvd’s and an inversion table. It changed my life! I’m hooked
and have been pain free for over 10 months now. I’m doing pilates, run in the
water, “hang like a bat” on the table as my husband calls it, and chase my toddler
around all day without any pain.

Gratefully,
Kate Berman, 34 & fit mama of an active 22 month old.

———- end Kate’s email ————

That’s awesome!

I’ve said it so many times before, but it deserves repeating here again now…

Most people get the best results when they COMBINE multiple treatments and
remedies together.

Here’s the combination that we have found to work the best for the largest
number of people:

1. Identify and address muscle imbalances, which are almost always the
underlying cause, by using the Lose The Back Pain system

2. Reduce pain and inflammation with safe and natural ingredients like the
ones found in Lifezyme Plus

3. Decompress the spine with some form of traction or inversion therapy

4. Address trigger points – with help from a trigger point specialist or can be
done at home using our trigger point self treatment system

5. Improve your mental / emotional state and wipe out negative stress and
there are many ways to accomplish this. A few products we recommend
are the Stress Less video and Mind Body Pain Relief

Well, I hope you find the video about inversion therapy informative and keep
your eyes peeled as I have several more videos I’ll be sending you over the
next few weeks.

In fact, I have one about sciatica where I’ll show you one of THE most effective
stretches for sciatica… plus an other video showing you many little things you
can do to reduce or better manage pain while at work.

So, that’s all for now… talk to you again soon.

Jesse

By Al Cole, Health Researcher

It’s an Olympic year, and there are at least three things you can be sure will be part of the Summer Games in Beijing: the Olympic torch, fierce competition…and pain.

We’re not talking about the pain of missing a bronze medal by a hundredth of a second (which has got to rank right up there with passing a kidney stone). Or the pain of being body-slammed by a Russian heavyweight in a Greco-Roman Wrestling match. We’re talking about the plain old kind of pain that many of us non-athletes experience every day.

No doubt, Team USA and the other national Olympic squads will have access to any and every kind of pain treatment available so they can stay in the game. And why shouldn’t they? After all, they’ve been getting up a 4 a.m. every day for years preparing for their moment in the sun.

But what about the rest of us occasional athletes who have to endure muscle and joint pains—many of them chronic—due to overexertion, injury, and conditions that result from the wear and tear the body undergoes as it ages, such as arthritis and fibromyalgia?

And don’t think that arthritis is just something that happens to old folks. It affects nearly one in five American adults—that’s 46 million people. Arthritis is second only to heart disease as a cause of work disability, and 7 million people have it so bad that they have difficulty with everyday activities such as walking, dressing, and bathing.

This kind of nagging pain can take the joy out of life and produce a feeling of hopelessness. In fact, surveys indicate that roughly half of those with arthritis don’t think anything can be done to help them.

But the good news is, you can have access to the same, cutting-edge treatments that Olympic level athletes have. This is where a completely natural topical treatment such as Rub On Relief can make a difference.

Rub On Relief has been shown to be especially valuable in treating a variety of joint and muscle pains. Its proprietary combination of natural oils and organic ingredients works to bring relief—often immediately—from the daily aches and pains many people experience.

Rub On Relief appears to work especially well with soft tissue and joint problems and has been shown to be effective in relieving rheumatic pains, swollen and stiff joints, tendon pain, sciatica, tenderness in knee joints, low back pain, neck stiffness and even head aches.

Two-time USA Olympian Debbi Lawrence said, “I ABSOLUTELY love this stuff! My legs have never felt better and it helps me recover from intense workouts much faster.”

Other pain relief options, such as Cortisone and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) also work to reduce inflammation, but the downside is that they often bring with them a number of unpleasant side effects.

Instead, Rub On Relief contains powerful antioxidants that work to neutralize free radicals—unstable molecules that can do a lot of damage, especially to blood vessel walls and the cartilage tissue that surrounds your joints.

The antioxidants contained in Rub On Relief prevent these free radicals from getting additional oxygen, something they need in order to thrive. Rub On Relief also includes omega-3 fatty acids, which have been proven to reduce inflammation as well as provide numerous other health benefits.

Several clinical studies have confirmed that the Rub On Relief formula can bring quick and effective relief to a variety of painful conditions. In one study, participants suffering from arthritis were asked to stop using a popular pain-relief product and instead begin applying Rub On Relief once a day for three days.

In a matter of days, almost 90 percent of the participants who used the topical cream reported getting faster pain relief than they had gotten from the product they had been using. They also said it was more pleasant to use and reported no adverse side effects.

For those who have unsuccessfully sought relief from over-the-counter pain relievers and prescription NSAIDs—or who simply cannot tolerate some of the undesirable side effects, such as stomach irritation or worse—a completely natural topical cream like Rub On Relief may be a good treatment option.

—————

Rub on Relief will be available beginning March 31st here: http://www.losethebackpain.com/rubonrelief.html

I am loving it. I am talking about the backjoy. Sitting has been a drag. The backjoy has been such a relief. Since 10 years I cannot sit without discomfort and this is for the first time that I say I feel a relief!! Thank you for inventing this piece of art. I hope I will get much more relief, the beginning is here.

Jesse,
The Back Joy is nothing short of amazing! I carry it around with me everywhere I go because I can sit so much more comfortably. Without Back Joy I could only sit for 20 minutes without sciatic pain due to a herniated disc.

Using the Back Joy triples that time before I have to get up and do some stretching. I’m still working on improving muscle balance issues and expect the length of comfortable sitting will improve over time. Thanks for some fine products and continued motivation.

Joyce Banttari

————-

So did you grab your Back Joy yet? If not, do yourself a favor and grab one of these things now…

It works incredibly well, is super affordable and you can use it at home, in the car and at work. Just like Martina and Joyce above, you too will be thanking me

Ok, now real quick before I share with you the top 5 treatments, I want to answer a question that I received recently that maybe you too have been thinking…

Here’s the email question I received:

Jesse,

I don’t understand why you want me to spend $49 after I have already spent $100 on your Lose the Back Pain system. I don’t understand why you tout 2 products that are supposed to do the same thing—- eliminate back pain.

I am using your Lose the Back pain system and am having a little success but I am surprised you are recommending I buy another product, how many products do you want me to buy?

Jeff

——- end Jeff’s email ——–

Hi Jeff and thanks for your email and great question…

The fact is, the two products do two completely different things. Can you get relief with just one, probably. But what we have found in working with tens of thousands of people who suffer from various types of back pain, neck pain, sciatica, etc is that most people get the best results when they combine multiple treatments. And in just a minute I’ll share with you our list of the top 5 treatments…

In this particular case, the Lose The Back Pain system will help you to get relief by identifying and addressing your muscle imbalances and the Back Joy can’t do that… and there are some things the LTBP system can’t do…. for example, it can’t help you sit more comfortably and with better posture, and that’s what the Back Joy does.

Again, I am not saying you need to buy both or everything that we sell… but what I’m trying to do is show you all of the things that we have found to be helpful so you can decide what you want to try. And if you ever have questions please feel free to give us a call… where here to help.

Top 5 Treatments for Back Pain, Neck Pain and Sciatica

Ok, here’s the formula that we have found to deliver the best results:

1. Reduce the pain and inflammation

You can do this with a natural anti-inflammatory like Lifezyme Plus or something similar. Remember, this will NOT eliminate the underlying, physical cause of the problem… it will deal with the inflammation but it is not going to correct muscle imbalances, decompress your spine, force you to sit up straight, etc… the goal is to reduce pain so you can work on addressing the underlying cause(s).

2. Identify and address the underlying, “hidden” cause: muscle imbalances.

You can do this by working with a qualified health care professional who is experienced in muscle imbalances, if you can find one or do it yourself in about 30 minutes or less using our Lose The Back Pain System.

The challenge here is that there are so few health care professionals out there who are experienced in what we call “muscle balance therapy” and that’s why our system has been so successful.

Would it be better to work with someone, of course, but what if you can’t find someone near you or what if you can’t afford all of the visits? Plus, there’s no way on earth that you can get the system and not benefit tremendously. But don’t take it from me, read, listen to and watch the hundreds of success stories on our website.

3. Use Trigger Point Therapy to reduce pain and relieve chronically tight muscles.

You can do this yourself and there are several books on the subject or you can find a qualified health care professional who specializes in treating trigger points. There are therapists who specialize in trigger point therapy and you can also often find chiropractors and massage therapists who have been trained and can help you. I also suggest you check out our trigger point self treatment system.

4. Reduce spinal compression with inversion therapy or traction.

Traction is typically performed by a chiropractor or physical therapist but you can also get great results just by using an inversion table. Inversion therapy has been used for over 2000 years and has been shown to work really well when dealing with a herniated disc. Click here to learn more about how spinal decompression works.

5. Use mind-body exercises and techniques to reduce and “block” pain.

Not only can they reduce pain, but they can also change you mindset and beliefs. One of the biggest reasons so many people suffer year after year with various types of pain is their mindset. They have a negative attitude, they are the people who say “I’ve tried everything and nothing worked.. I’m going to spend the rest of my life miserable and in pain” and they are so close-minded that they’ll walk right past the solution to their problem.

Whether you believe it or not, it’s a proven FACT that your thoughts, feelings, beliefs and attitude play a big role in your ability to recover. Click here for 9 of the most powerful mind-body techniques

Are there other treatments that work, of course, but in working with tens of thousands of people suffering from back pain, neck pain and sciatica, these are the 5 things that we have found deliver the best results for people.

That’s all for today…

Jesse

All my chiropractor friends are going to just love this email….

If you’ve ever considered chiropractic care for your back or neck pain, you may want to think again. Why?

One reason is there have been several recent cases where individuals suffered a stroke after having spinal manipulations done on their neck by chiropractors.

Now, I am NOT saying that all chiropractic care is dangerous…

But I do believe, that most people do NOT need spinal manipulation. Are there some situations where it may be necessary, yes, but not many.

But chiropractic care has a much bigger problem…

The basic philosophy or approach is flawed., Yes, I said flawed, as in it does not make sense. Most chiropractors focus primarily on manipulations and they are trying to force the body back into alignment. Well, it seems to make sense, right?

Problem is, the muscle imbalances are what pulled your body and spine out of alignment to begin with and those same imbalances will still be there after a manipulation…

And those muscle imbalances will pull your body right back out of place, and usually within a day or two… and that’s why, most chiro’s treat their patients 3 times week.

If you aren’t familiar with muscle imbalances I urge you to learn more about them. Start by reading this article about muscle imbalances.

Now don’t get me wrong, most chiropractors are honest and caring people, and I also like the fact that it’s a natural approach to treating various conditions BUT…

Unless you are addressing the muscle imbalances in conjunction with the manipulations, you will likely never get lasting relief because over time the imbalances WILL pull you back into what I call a “dysfunctional” position and the pain will return.

Just ask any one who sees a chiropractor frequently and they’ll tell you that they can’t go long without treatment and many patients end up going weekly or monthly for years, even decades.

Now I know the rebuttal from every chiro to that is likely to be “patients come in for treatments frequently and consistently for months and years because it’s important to keep the spine in the proper alignment”.

While maintaining a healthy alignment is important, it doesn’t require spinal manipulations. Corrective exercises and stretches not only can do the job most of the time, they actually work much better because you are addressing the muscles that are pulling the body out of alignment.

But what about other treatments that chiropractors offer?

Well, it depends on what you are talking about… electrical stimulation? ultrasound? generic exercises? None of these are very effective. But I know that there are some forward thinking chiro’s out there who do more than the same ol chiropractic treatment…

The really sharp ones, the ones I know, incorporate things like corrective exercises and stretches that are targeted to the persons specific muscle imbalances… they utilize muscle activation therapy to strengthen specific muscles… they use manual muscle therapy techniques… they incorporate massage therapy… they use trigger point therapy to eliminate spasms and relax chronically tight muscles, and so on.

They take an approach to treatment that incorporates the whole body, like what I teach in my audio program, The Complete Healing Formula.

The point is this, there are some chiropractors who are great and there are a ton who aren’t. If you work with a chiro and your typical treatments lasts about 15 minutes and includes electrical stimulation and a few quick cracks of the back, I urge you to find another asap and learn about all of the other types of treatments that have been proven to be effective. You can find information on over a dozen different treatments here.

Oh, and if you want to watch the news story I mentioned, you can find it on Fox5 news here

So anyone up for some neck manipulation?

Talk to you again soon…

People spend millions, if not billions of dollars, each year in the quest for a flat stomach. Right now there are dozens of ab exercise devices out there. There’s the ab do-it, the ab rock-it, the ab roller, the ab dolly, fast abs, 8 minute abs, the ab-lounge and so many more.

You would think that with all of these amazing new products that most people would be walking around with that nice, lean mid-section they’ve always wanted. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.

Most, if not all of these products, will do little or nothing to flatten your stomach. And that’s because these exercise contraptions cannot eliminate the layer of fat that lies on top of your abs.

In order to be successful at thinning your waistline you must have a basic understanding of how the ab muscles function and how your body burns fat. The first thing that needs to be understood is the difference between fat and muscle.

Fat is excess calories and is primarily stored in layers on top of muscle tissue. Muscle is made up of fibers that contract or shorten to produce movement.

Fat cannot turn into muscle and muscle cannot turn into fat! However, you can lose muscle and you can gain fat. That’s what happens to most people.

So if your goal is to thin your waist line and have a nice flat stomach, the first thing you need to do is decrease / eliminate the layers of fat that are on top of your abs. We all have a flat stomach; it’s just some of our’s are covered by excess fat.
The most effective way of flattening your stomach is a combination of strength training (with a extra focus on mid-section), cardiovascular exercise (short, hard workouts), and stable blood sugar (keeps you from adding additional fat and makes it easier for the body to use body fat for fuel).

I should also mention that a flat stomach not only looks good but it also prevents muscle imbalances between the hips and abs which cause more than 80% of all lower back pain! So remember, a strong flat stomach means a strong, healthy lower back!
1. You must do some form of progressive strength training
The primary function of the abdominal muscle is to flex your torso forward. However, there are also muscles that flex your torso to the side and muscles that rotate your torso. Often times you see people on their ab roller every day doing hundreds of crunches or sit-ups.

If you want to effectively strengthen your stomach you need to incorporate the following types of exercises:

1-2 forward flexion exercises (reverse crunch, knee raises, crunch, sit-up, etc.)
1-2 side flexion exercises (side bends, side crunches, etc.)
1-2 rotational exercises (trunk rotations, standing twists, etc.)
Choose at least 1-2 exercises that target the lower abs , 1-2 for the obliques (love handles), and 1-2 for the upper abs. There are thousands of ab exercises to choose from – way too many for me to list here, however, I will give you a list of some of the better ones.
Great Ab Exercises
Reverse crunch
Ab Pike
Hanging knee raise
Torso rotation (twist)
Leg lowering
Side bends
Exercise ball crunches

Again, there are tons of choices when it comes to ab exercises and while there are some that are better than others, the key is to just make sure you work hard and progressively!

The abs, are muscles just like any other and should be worked on average 3 times per week. While you can work out daily, base your frequency on how hard you worked them last time. For example, if you worked your core really hard yesterday and are sore, it’s not a good idea to work them hard again today. If you do anything at all, it should be light and just to get them moving.
2. Use short, hard cardio workouts to increase metabolism
Cardio workouts are important because they CAN, if done correctly, increase your metabolism for 4-24 hours or more! This means you are less likely to store any excess calories as body fat because they are more likely to be used by your elevated metabolism. Plus, you are more likely to burn off some excess body fat.

Below is a sample interval workout that can be done with just about any activity (walking, bicycling, swimming, stair climbing, etc.).

Warm up at easy pace 2-5 minutes… Perform 30 seconds of hard work (almost as hard as possible)… perform 1 minute of moderate work (recovery time-catch breath)… Repeat this process 6-10 times… Cool down at an easy pace for 2-5 minutes.
3. Stable blood sugar is the key
And most importantly, you must stabilize your blood sugar! This is by far the most important factor when it comes to burning away that excess body fat and keeping it off! To effectively stabilize your blood sugar you must feed your body frequently; like every 2-3 hours. The key is to give your body only what it needs at that time.

Your body burns calories 24 hours a day, so, why would you only feed it once or twice a day? Give your body the fuel it needs: vegetables, fruits, nuts, berries, whole grains, and lean proteins (chicken, fish, lean beef, eggs, etc.).

Many people are too hung up on how much fat is in food, or how healthy of a choice it is. Calories are calories and it doesn’t matter where they come from. If there’s extra… where’s it going? Yup, you guessed it… body fat!

This is not to say that what you eat is not important because it is, it just doesn’t have that much of an affect when it comes to fat loss. Try to make healthy choices whenever possible, but don’t feel like if you eat a cheeseburger it is guaranteed to be stored as fat. You can learn more metabolism boosting tricks here

4. Get the help of a professional
Unfortunately, most people don’t know enough about the human body, nutrition, or effective exercise to meet their health and fitness goals. Ask yourself this one question, “Am I happy with my current progress or condition?” If you’re not, you should consider getting the help of a qualified personal fitness professional.

Don’t depend on the information you get from magazines or from your local gym/ health club. A qualified fitness professional can help you achieve your health and fitness goals, and in less time than you would imagine.
If you are serious about your health and fitness goals, and you are ready for that flat stomach, I recommend you start implementing the 4 strategies listed in this article. These 4 strategies can help you take control of your metabolism and burn off that excess body fat and having you looking and feeling great!
Well, I hope you found this article helpful.

Many of the injuries that bodybuilders suffer from could be easily prevented just by allowing the body enough time to rest…

While most bodybuilders dread hearing the word “rest”, many fail to realize that there is far more to rest than just avoiding overtraining. When you perform a tough workout you not only stress that muscle or muscle group, you also place stress on the cardiovascular, neuromuscular and components of the immune system…

For example, many bodybuilders will train their chest 2-3 times a week and spend an hour or more performing dozens of exercises just for the pecs…

While this may sound ok to some, when you add in the stress of other workouts it can quickly add up to too much stress in one or more ways. I hear bodybuilders all the time say “I let my body rest by splitting up my workouts” and “I worked chest yesterday so today I’ll train my back”… that’s NOT rest!

The reason so many bodybuilders suffer from so many different injuries is because there are several things the “pros” don’t tell you…

First off, the articles that you see in all the muscle mags aren’t even written by the “pros”… and the workout routines they recommend are always extreme and often not even used by the “pro” who supposedly wrote because their main goal is to sell magazines… not give you the real deal on bodybuilding.

If you are serious about bodybuilding and want to achieve your true peak, you need to stay injury free… and that’s just about impossible if you train they way most bodybuilders do.
