Chiropractic Treatment for Back Pain

Chiropractic treatment refers to the practice of spinal manipulation to alleviate or cure back pain. Chiropractic treatment is recommended when accidents, falls, tension or over-exertion causes the vertebrae to displace or shift.

Chronic back or neck pain results if the displaced or shifted disc irritates the spinal nerves. Sometimes this pain is felt directly and at other times during reflexive movements. The intention of chiropractic manipulative therapy is to realign vertebrae and establish normal spinal mobility, which in turn alleviates the irritation to the spinal nerve.
