6 EVIL Companies to NEVER Buy Food From Again

We’ve all got to eat, but you have a choice when it comes to where you get your food — and specifically, which companies get a piece of your food budget.

When you get the low-down on some of the evil companies that follow, you’ll understand why we say … NEVER buy your food from them again!

6. Kellogg

evil companiesThe cereal giant produces some of the worst cereals for kids — those with the least nutritional value and the highest amounts of sugar. But the real kicker is how aggressively they market these cereals to impressionable youngsters.

From 2008-2011, Kellogg increased child-targeted TV ads for Froot Loops by 79%, nearly doubled banner advertising on children’s websites for its sugary, child-targeted brands, and even introduced the first child-targeted “advergame app” for phones, centered on Apple Jacks.[i] They’re trying to hook your kids on sugar … don’t let them.

5. Sparboe Farms (Eggs)

One of the largest egg producers in the United States, Sparboe Farms was cited by the FDA for at least 13 violations of rules meant to prevent salmonella outbreaks. Undercover video taken by animal rights group Mercy for Animals also showed unsanitary conditions and serious acts of animal cruelty. The allegations were so severe that McDonald’s and Target both stopped using Sparboe Farms as a source of eggs … will you, too?

4. Nestle

evil companiesAs the world’s largest food company, Nestle sells 70 different brand names of bottled water, and accounts for one-third of the U.S. bottled water market. Not only has bottled water been implicated as a scam for not being much different than ordinary tap water, the amount of plastic bottles entering the environment is now obscene.

Plus, Nestle has been accused of aggressively marketing infant formula in third-world countries, leading to reductions in breastfeeding rates. And then there are the accusations of being involved in child labor and forced labor[ii] … need we go on?

3. Tyson

Tyson is the second largest chicken producer in the United States, but did you know their plants have dumped so many toxins into water supplies, not to mention released them into the air, that they pled guilty to 20 felony violations of the Clean Water Act? And the EPA filed enforcement action against them for violating the Clean Air Act?[iii]

Not to mention, for years they labeled their chicken “antibiotic-free” even though they regularly treated the birds with antimicrobials.

2. Coca-Cola

evil companiesSoft drinks are far from healthy, but the real reason to boycott Coca-Cola has to do with their crimes against humanity. Evidence uncovered by investigative journalist and author Michael Blanding has shown Coca-Cola may have been complicit with paramilitary murders of union members in South America, while draining and polluting local water sources in India and Mexico.[iv]

Why haven’t you heard about this before? Coca-Cola spends nearly $3 billion a year on advertising to keep its iconic image[v] … ‘nuff said.

1. Monsanto

Creator of Agent Orange, PCBs, dioxin, recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH) and genetically modified seeds, Monsanto has paid out billions of dollars in legal settlements for all of their disease-causing contamination and wrongdoing over the years[vi] … and they are aggressively pushing their GM crops throughout the entire world — to the extent that one day soon the entire food supply may be contaminated with genetically engineered DNA, of which no one knows what the future consequences will be.

Excellent article! Thank you for educating people about the dangers lurking in their foods. Eat organic (it’s not that expensive and will save your life in the long run) and stick to a whole food, plant-based diet full of fiber and anitoxidants. The Western diet is causing diabetes, obesity, and the other diseases of affluence like cancer, heart disease, autoimmune diseases, and oseoporosis. These food are killing us and we need to stop eating them. They are also harming our global environment!

I have felt that so many cereals for kids have been bad since my kids were little. They are bought for the toy that is in them as well as not being a nutritious food for your child. We just can’t be to careful about what we buy at the grocery store. Read your labels, and where the product was made. So many things to be aware of. Thank you for publishing this. I think more people ought to be informed and knowledgeable about the food we eat.

I do not and will not knowingly patronize these companies. But they market under so many different brand names it is hard to identify all their products. I wish the writer had listed at least some of the major brand names. Will the writer please do this or can someone else post them?

  4. LC in Texas says:

MONSANTO is killing off the worlds food supply. They have been banned in other country’s. Monsanto and their GM foods are ruining this nation also. The Hi-bred plants will not reproduce, they are sterile. You must buy your plants and seeds from Monsanto related producers. These Genetically Modified plants are contaminating original seeds and producing tasteless produce that has no nutritional value. What good is the EPA?

  5. Daniel Berglund says:

Kellogg and other popular candy cereals should be avoided, but bottled water is sometimes the only way to a decent drink in 3rd world locations.
Forget Tyson, fat bad tasting chicken. Ugh.
Coke is trying to bring out a decent product. If some of their employees, bust unions, well the unions have had a free hand at busting non union people(scabs) for generations. Union thugs(dirt bags) are evil.
Monsanto is just plain evil, worse that the Dentists that put mercury fillings in millions of mouths, and are still doing it.

Pat, it doesn’t matter who did what, the fact is, the soft drinks are a nutritional disaster, and the main cause of widespread obesity, and type 2 diabetes. HFCS is considered toxic, and highly addictive. Phosphoric acid, which is used in them to for tart taste (because it’s cheaper than citric acid), is an INDUSTRIAL RUST REMOVER. Bon appetit….
At least they removed the “caramel colouring”, because of the scandal that erupted after it was made public.
Caramel colouring is HFCS burned with ammonia under pressure. But it’s used in many other “foods”, (if you dare call it that), any dark bakery products, i.e. cookies, brownies, pumpernickel bread etc.

  7. Barb says:

Re: phosphoric acid – also leeches calcium from the bones….. many young adults who grew up drinking sodas are now experiencing fractured hips & other bones from when involved in normal falls – i.e., skating rink, fall from a monkey bar, or bicycle fall.
I stopped buying cereal when I started reading labels & figured the ads & info were mis-leading.
    Great article … thanks…..

Re: garbage cereals. For busy Moms who have to get kids out the door in the morning, consider making a big pot of porridge on Sunday night and leave it to cool. In the morning, warm what you need in a frying pan with a bit of water and refrigerate the rest for other days. It’s almost as fast as the microwave if you have to warm more than one bowl. Oats, cream of wheat, red river cereal, cornmeal are a way of getting variety. Add a little oat bran and flax meal to the pot and voila! Raisins, blueberries, bananas, saskatoons, etc., are great sweeteners, so no sugar needed and more choices for kids (and adults). Almond, coconut and rice milk can also add variety and flavor. Bon appetit!

These companies are scumbags of the world.! Why do our Goverments let them get away with what they do to our food & water. Is it because of the almighty $ they can make by putting rapeseed in & calling it canola oil & so on it goes no wonder the world is sick. the buck got to stop somewhere. there’s to many back doors that they can sneek through.

  10. Cynthia Plockelman says:

WOW — really important information here….1st compilation of such that I have
    seen! THANK YOU!!!

  11. Di says:

Please add Kraft and their processed cheese to this list.

Excellent article. Good to have these scurrilous corporations exposed so that the general ignorant public can make some good decisions about their health and that of their children. I think Monsanto and Coca Cola have got to be 2 of the most dangerous companies in the world. Money, money, money and damn the people.

  13. David Kammer says:

Ever look at the ingredients of a bottle of plain old “syrup”?? Main ingredient is High Fructose Corn Oil, and we pour that liberally over our pancakes, waffles, etc. You can buy Maple Syrup and avoid HFCO. True, it’s more expensive, and also harder to find, but it’s worthwhile making the switch. I’ve noticed several new products from our old standbys Aunt Jemima, Mrs. Butterworth, Log Cabin and others, labeled in huge letters on the label “NO HFCO, but examining the label on the back, the main ingredient is still corn oil. The more we substitute real Maple Syrup for HFCO products, the cheaper the Maple Syrup will become.

  14. Keith Nauls says:

All good info. All processed foods and sugars are bad. Monsanto chemicals are worse. Nestle’s catalogue of foods are likely more problematic than their bottled water products. I agree that there are way too many plastic bottles in the ecosystem. However, our rusty tap water that smells like chlorine, and probably has added fluoride in it, is not the same as a good quality bottled water. Even Nestle’s water, which I don’t drink, is certainly cleaner and filtered better than our local municipal tap supply. At some point I will install a home water filtration system, and I now frequently carry around stainless steel thermos/bottle to reduce my usage of plastics.

  15. Dwayne says:

Since in my childhood days I dislliked soft-drinks especially Coca Cola, because the harms it does to your body causing demise. The genuine details were always concealed from the globe in most food & beverages companies to keep deceiving, lurking us from the truth. The choices we make are the consequences, effectiveness upon our health. In the past I always knew the deception were disseminated global to keep our minds dependable on their products to enable them to become wealthy without the authentic details. Thank God I found this site to see more evidence in this world.

  16. Evan Dean says:

Do all hese people who answer with “scumbags”, “evil”, and the like really know that the claims of deliberate falsifying and coverups are fact , or perhaps just claims that they are prepared to believe? Conspiracy theories abound.

About fifteen years ago, I began eating cereal only for breakfast, every day, one cup of Cheerios, or similar off-brand oat cereals, and one-half cup of Raisin Bran(any brand Kelloggs, Post, store brands, et cetera), both with skim milk( I suppose I should worry about the milk as well?).

In two days, I will be 90 years old, and I claim to be in as good health, or better, aside from some sciatica, as are a great many of those whom I call the “worriers”. I have never worried about all these things that seem to be concerning so many. Whether you believe it or not, we in the U.S. have the best food supplies, on average, in the world, and (and don’t try to tell me this doesn’t matter), at the lowest prices.

I believe thar EPA has done some good things, along with quite a bit of overreach.
