Back Joy
I received the Back Joy and have had it for about a week now. I had been having painful sitting in the area of the tailbone and sacrum. I can sit at my desk with a lumbar support pillow comfortably and also at a dining room table with a hard chair probably because I can lean forward (without the Back Joy). My problem is sitting in soft chairs or on the couch when I am tired of sitting up straight and need to sit back and rest! I always use a small pillow at my lower back in a soft chair because I have some scoliosis and a hip deformity. I like to sit with my legs crossed (alternating back and forth) I have a few questions to be sure that I'm not using it incorrectly. I wanted to know if you should still use a small pillow at your lower back when you are sitting on the Back Joy and also if you can cross your legs when sitting with the Back Joy? Also, how about using it in your sand chair at the beach? I brought it to the beach yesterday and tried it in my sand chair, it seemed helpful but I wasn't sure if I could put the chair in a more reclined position or if I needed to be sitting up completely straight with the Back Joy in the seat. I also used the Back Joy in the car for a couple of hours. I still trying to figure out how high the back part of the seat should be placed? I did notice this morning that my muscles are sore so I may have used
it too long and will try it now for shorter periods. I am going to show it to my massage therapist and chiropracter to see what their imput might be. My biggest concern is that I will use it the wrong way and will not be able to evaluate it properly. Thank you for your help. Cheryl

Re: Back Joy
Have you tried something called a baceaz. I recently got one and I will swear by it. It really is good. I tried a back joy but I ended up forgetting it on an airline and after what I had paid I was steamed. Anyway it never worked for me the back joy, I mean. It sort of encroached, is the only word to describe, how it made me feel. I used my baceaz at a stadium recently and 3 hrs. usually in seat would have killed me before. Not this time.

You have one of my problems.
You may have a forward tilt to your pelvis.
You need to get the cause corrected.
Ask your chiropractor to assess your pelvic tilt as a first step.
[ Women have a slightly greater normal pelvic tilt than men ].
