Broken C7 Spinous Process and just found herniated disc between 6 & 7
I was in an atv racing accident last month and even though I have broken many bones I've never damaged the neck or spine. I'm being helped by Chriopractor and Nuero Surgeon. I'm 32 in pretty descent shape male.
Question is probably dumb and a waste of space on here but I'm worried about this. So far all thats being done is lazer treatment. I'm meeting with the Nuero next week.
How well do these problems heal on their own?
Any info would be appreciated?

As far as the broken process is concerned, talk to the following people:

Question, is the cold lazer really effective? I'm sure it helps but if I could spend my money more wisely on another treatment I would prefer to do so.

Hi Jason
The Laserspine Institute actually do keyhole laser surgery as well as other micro-surgery.
They'll look at your case for free. It'll be worth calling them.
The type of laser treatment at your chiro is different and is called "Cold Laser".
I tried it and it didn't work for me, but I do know people for whom it has worked very well.
It's one of those treatments that seems to either work or not.
Lance Armstrong swears by it.
It is often used to help with inflammation.
Did you call Al Meilus ?

I havent had a chance yet. I'm still waiting to see the nuero surgeon again so I can get updated on work restrictions. I met a lady at the track this past weekend and she gave me a tube of Traumeel and told me to try it and it seems to work well with the inflamation.
I was using the cold lazer on my left knee and it did wonders. I cant really tell with this injury though. I have finally started getting my muscle control back which is good and I was finally able to complete a full sneeze 3 times this week for the first time since the wreck.
I will defintley try and talk with them this week.
Thanks for your help with this, I will be ordering this program within the next week or so.
