Tight Hamstrings
If I have tight hamstrings due to FTP, and I do the excercises regularly, shouldn't I start to feel an untightening of the hamstring muscles ?
I just revisited corrective treatments and it says do not stretch the overly tight hamstring as it will cause the pelvis to tip that much more.

Re: Tight Hamstrings
Thanks Steve. I have read that article and it was very good and understandable, hence the question "if I keep away from stretching my hamstring muscles, and stay on a routine excercise plan to stretch my quads and hip flexors and glutes, will my hamstrings begin to feel and get less tight" and "will that be an indication that my pelvis is returning to a more nuetral state".
And can I expect my pelvis to return to a nuetral state by just doing these simple excercises.
Thanks

Re: Tight Hamstrings
Tim, I think you've got some good questions. I had a ruptured lumbar disc few years ago and after block, no trouble till about a year a go, then pain from lower back down rt leg. Then I started having pain down both legs. I self diagnosed with high hip and forward tilt from the pics and started doing the high hip exercises and stretches. Now my pain in the lower back is less but still have pain down the backs of both legs and into my calves, and the backs of my thighs feel so tight that it exhausts me just doing daily activities. Been doing inversion too, but not alot of help. I'm wondering if I should change to the forward pelvis exercises, and if I do how long it should take for this terrible tightness to lessen. Maybe we should send our pics in to verify we're working on the right thing???
