Does physio really work for a herniated disk?
Hi Guys,
It's been a difficult month for me as I've had the horror of my back pain increasing. I'm sure that many of you out there have had the same, and I'm really grateful for the support.
I've had a discogram, which was painful but I did manage to have some pain control as I have a low pain threshold. It's good to know that if you do have a discogram you can kill the pain a little bit if you are sensible.
Anyway it seems that a herniated disk is the culprit. My doctor says that surgery is the last resort. He's recommended physio. Does anyone have experience of this working?
I've read on one forum about Superior Interspinous Spacer (sips) It's a new alternative to surgery as far a I can make out. Anyway I'm going to google it and find out more. Does anyone know about it?
Hope this message finds you all as well as can be expected.
Jane

Really read what's on this site
Mckenzie exercises, hydration, stretching, and inversion are all things that will help
