forward tilted pelvis
Having read a lot of websites and posts on this forum, i sure that my back pain is caused by a forward tilting pelvis. It makes perfect sense as this is how my pelvis feels to me. I have always been overweight and had a fat stomach, but in the last few years i put on more weight and i think this put even more strain on the back muscles and they couldn't cope any more.
I have been in pain for about 4 months now and it's mainly in my lower back muscles, just below the waist.
I've spent a lot of money on things to help me that just don't work. I've seen correction exercises on other websites that there is no way i could do! They were things that involved getting on hands and knees, lunges etc. and i am a bit dubious about ordering the LTBP system in case i can't do any of those exercises either! Are there exercises that you can do just lying down?
How well do people get over this? is it possible to correct it completely and not have muscle pains again? Obviously i also know that i must loose weight, but this is taking a long time as i weighed over 200lb. I have lost about 30lb now.
A month or so ago i even thought about suicide because i felt i just couldn't live in pain all the time. I am desperate to do something about this and i wanted to ask all these questions before buying the system as i have very little money (i can't work) and didn't want to waste it on more exercises that i can't do

Re: forward tilted pelvis
Amy-
1 step at a time. We (i am a FTP also) did not get this way overnight and will take some time to get healthy. However, with proper flsxibility we can be comfortable as we build strength and lose weight. Strong core muscles are more important than weight loss because you are creating an inner corset. This can be worked on while you are losing weight. it is important to stay lighter for re-injury purposes and especially when we are tired we can put ourselves in higher risk postures.
As far as the depression i never got that way until i was in my 4th year of excrutiating pain. Sometimes you may need something like wellbutrin, cymbalta, etc to get you through the darkness. I prefer not to take anything although i was prescribed cymbalta. I took it for 2 days and realized drugs are not for me.
Be kind to yourself and 1 step at a time.

Re: forward tilted pelvis
Amy the LTPB program for FTP is probably the easiest on the body compared to lot of the other ones I have done.......there are a lot of exercises out there that really strain the shoulders, arms, hands and kness with the positions you are in and balancing most of your weight on your elbows, hands and knees....None of thses exercise here put a strain on those body parts.....Im an athlete in pretty good shape...besides all the pain......and lots of thsoe other exercises just wore out those body parts I have mentioned...give it a shot.......I did it for a few months and found some relief and probably need to get back on it
Pain will get you down and like the previous poster I have been in pain for 4.5 years and yea it wears on you big time but keep looking for the answers and trying different things...dont ever give up...you lost 30 lbs so that is a big accomplishment right there....It took me 4+ years of Doctors,Tests etc etc to just recently finally find the right Doctor to diaganose me (muscle/tendon tears)....so dont give up,......You ahve caught it early being only 4 months

Re: forward tilted pelvis
hi amy i have suffered with back and nerve pain probably the last 10 years so i know where your coming from. i had a spinal fusion 2 years ago proir to that i was feeling suicidal too, i was fortunate enough to have a good boss so was able to work doing light duties i think being occupied helps a lot with you not being able to work makes it hard to cope i understand that i am really struggling to keep working as i know i can't handle being idle. my nerve pain has eased up but my back and hip are still giving me grief. i just joined ltbp 2 weeks ago and it has helped me understand what is causing my pain and i am starting to manage some of the exercises which are very important probably more so then relying on pain killers. i'm not a believer in taking anti-inflamitory they only mask the pain and upset your stomach. now the hard part is the weight, i weighed in at 106 kgs 20 years ago now am 75kgs it really is worth trying as you already have lost 30 lbs you have already made a great effort. any weight loss will improve your overall well being. anytime you need support i'm happy to give support.
your friend from down under.

Re: forward tilted pelvis
Hi Amy,
I bought the LTBP program about a year ago. I had a foreward tilted pelvis. I was in pain for 30 years. I had to have a brace and walk with a cane. Because of the easy diagnosis and exersizes, I am now completely pain free. They fix the cause, not the symptom. Yes, I agree you are a little over weight. I would suggest you buy the program and also do some stationary bicycling at least 3 times a week. There are ab exersizes you can do while lying on your back. Also the correct stretches while lying on your back. About the suicide thoughts: God is with you and He wants you in heaven. You may not make it there if you kill yourself. Accept Jesus in your heart and He will walk with you triumphantly. Actually, I prayed that God would heal me. I said that I had enough of this pain and I want to work again. I could only stand for 10 minutes and I had to sit for 2 hours before I could stand again. The very next day, I was miraculasly lead to LTBP and I felt immediate healing. It took a good 6 months but, I am 100% better now. Take your time and go for it. No, I do not work for LTBP.
