Spondylolisthesis
Early last year I injured my back at work. After receiving no relief or answers from the doctor Workman's Comp sent me to (I saw this particular dr. for 3 months) I switched drs.& saw a highly recommended chiropractor who, upon listening to my story, immediatly took 2 x-rays of my lower spine.(The medical dr. refused to do x-rays.Said they were not necessary) I was diagnosed with spondylolisthesis. At the time I could barely walk & was forced to quit working, as the job I had required standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy items, bending,& twisting. Since then I have had physical therapy and have come a long way with this condition. I exercise daily, walk as much as possible, and no longer have to take prescription drugs just to get through the day. Occasionally it will flare up but I'm wondering if this program would really help me, and what all is involved that I'm not already doing. I would love to return to work but am afraid of reinjuring my back. I am 54 years old, am 5'2" and weigh 125 lbs. I have considered filing for disability because of this problem. Thanks for your time.
