Inversion works
Hi,
I just wanted to tell you guys that I just bought some gravity boots and have been using them for 3 days now for about 15 minutes each day and OMG! I can say I say feel about 85% better already. The chronic tightness that I felt on my left side is almost gone and also some strange clicking noise on my left hip is gone. This is amazing. Thanks Jesse and Steve. I will be taking these boots with me wherever I go in the world. I just need to find some monkey bars and I hang upside down anywhere. I don't even need a table. The only thing is after about 8 minutes I feel a lot of pressure on my ankles/feet. I guess this is normal. Also I have sprained my ankles a few times in my history so I just have to take it slow and perhaps this will help them too. We will have to see.

Re: Inversion works
Nick-
The strange clicking noise could be "snapping hip syndrome" which is a tendon that just goes over the bone or it could be a torn hip labrum (which are common...some symptomatic and some not). If you get diffuse groin/back pain with this it may be your labrum and not your back.

Re: Inversion works
When I sit for extended periods of time I do get inner left groin tightness/pain. More tightness i would say but then I stretch it out really good and it goes away. If I do have a torn labrum then what? After doing this inversion therapy for about 4 days it's great. Should I worry? I do have high left hip. Mostly I get tight left side and groin. It's like I have to constantly lean to the right to loosen it up sometimes but after inverting the tightness it quickly dissipating. Also, is this tendon you are referring in the front of the hip. Like when I flex my glutes I feel my I think hip flexor come out a little more on the left side. Like it's definitely tighter on my left side. Right where the upper thigh connects to the pelvis.

it could be any number of things...most times it is snapping hip syndrome which is a tendon and is harmless. I am just suggesting to have your doctor look at that as well. Many people have torn labrums that cause no pain but the pain is usually diffuse and presents in the groin as tightness and ache.
Either way the surrounding muscles need to be stretched and balanced.
