I've done the muscle balance exercises (forward tipped pelvis, high hip and forward head and shoulders) for a month now and have had knee pain in my left knee (the non-high hip side) for weeks now. I've had similar pain before, but not for this long. Certain exercises, especially the quad stretches and the toes-in glute squeeze feel uncomfortable and sometimes even painful. Should I still do them or are there alternative moves that would be more suited for me? Is the knee pain a sign I'm doing the exercises incorrectly, have diagnosed my conditions wrong or what? Please help!

Hi Mary,
I am wondering if it may be because your body is not used to these exercises and muscles etc are being used in a different way ? I dont know how gradually you introduced the exercises etc. Anyway for just now if i were you I would avoid the exercises that you are linking to your knee pain and get some personal advice from Steve.
If you havent done so already, send in your photos and assessment results, and tell him what has occured re your knees. He was always very helpful to me and he may be able to advise you on alternatives / different approach etc so its well worth doing.Wishing you all the best
