Lose the back Pain system
Hi, I've been looking at this site for a couple months now. About 8 months ago I fell from a ladder and injured my back... been slow healing. I'm finally getting my mri today (thanks workers COMP)...I have a feeling that they aren't going to find anything... did PT exercises and their generic stretches more than I can count. Have found in the past couple weeks that my own stretches are helping a quite a bit... less crunching in lower back when I bend up(which I am think is muscle reactions, not contracting smoothly) I'm thinking that most of my problems are muscle related (trigger points or just super tight muscles, muscle imbalances) My question is... is the LTBP system for people like me? Or is it just for people who develope problems over time from poor habits (posture etc). I plan on talking to my ortho about your system when i see him next week to discuss the MRI. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I suggest that you read all of our " Treatment Articles" to get a better idea of what is out there for you other then sloshing through Workers comp...

Hi Steve...
Did take a look at all those sections. Haven't gotten my MRI back yet... should be this thursday. Just wanted to ask... can muscle imbalances develop or become worse after an injury? The Phys therapist I was seeing said that after an injury, if the muscles aren't used much (as mine weren't because I was laid off about two weeks after injury), the muscles can become very WEAK, atrophy I suppose. I'm thinking (maybe wishful thinking) that this is my position. Not a permanent injury, just out of whack... if you will. The problems I'm having now are not the same as directly after the fall I took. I know you can't say one hundred percent because you've never seen me or my problems... but is what I'm saying making any sense? From what I say would you reccomend the Ltbp system? Can it hurt anything?

I got my MRI results today (after 8 months or so of not knowing). Looks like everything is good (thank god). Report says that there is a 2mm posterior bulge at L5 S1, but Doc looked at the image and said it looks like less... and that there doesn't seem to be any narrowing of the spine (said you could drive a truck through the spinal canal!!!) So this is all good news... KIND OF.
Everything is ok.. but why am i still having some problems? I ordered the Lose the back pain system last night and going to start it as soon as possible. Was kind of hesitant before the Mri, didn't want to further injure myself...but now i figure I've got the green light. I'm bound and determined to beat this... about month ago i was ready to give up, frustrated with doctors that didn't give a crap (got a good one now) physical therapists that didn't do anything much for me (some with good intentions others with no care at all)... but I got to the point where I am today. I'm not going to let it beat me... I'm too young to feel this old... and I'm going to get back to 100%. I want to thank everyone here at the forum... whether I've written to you or not... i've probably read every word you've written and you have all inspired me with your stories and determinaton. Thank you all.

i have large left posterolateral L4-L5 disc herniation.
i am going to order "lose the back pain system" , but i am afraid that it will be unuseful.
could you please tell me your story with that system.

Hi Brandon
You were asking about whether muscle imbalances can get worse after an injury.
The answer is yes.
When you have an injury, the brain knows that area should be allowed to move around too much.
It sends signals to the affected area which causes muscles surrounding it to tighten up in order to act as a "splint" to restrict further movement.
Unfortunately, these every muscles themselves will eventually shorten and tighten.

Im 36,have had a central herniated disc with annular tears@C5-6. I will order the "lose the back pain system" .I really need to know if it is good for me or not

Listen folks...
The Lose The Back Pain system can help anyone and everyone, how much will vary...
But there's no way you could use the system and not see at least some improvement. Here's just some of what you can expect:
- Less pain
- Improved flexibility
- Increases strength
- Better sleep
- Increased energy levels
And that's just some of the basics.
We all have muscle imbalances and they are almost always THE biggest factor so the more progress you make in this area the better you will feel.
Addressing your muscle imbalances should be your number one priority when it comes to getting rid of the CAUSE of the pain...
In the meantime, of course you can use numerous pain reduction strategies as well... it's a lot easier to improve your imbalances while pain is less.
Here are just a few ways to reduce pain:
- Heat (far infrared heat, hot tub)
- Pain relief cream (Rub on Relief)
- Natural anti-inflammatory (Heal-n-Soothe)
- Dietary changes (reduce/eliminate dairy, wheat)
- Hypnosis / Mind Body techniques
But keep in mind the above will NOT fix your imbalances... you have to use a multi-treatment approach.
