Nubax Trio - my experience so far
After several weeks of severe sciatica (I've had it on and off for 5 years, but never this bad), I decided to buy the Nubax Trio. I've done a lot of research looking for alternatives to surgery and spinal decompression sounded like it could be the answer. I was very excited when the Nubax arrived and couldn't wait to try it out. I have to say, it's very well designed. So easy to assemble, and simple to use. I started on the shortest belt setting (minimum traction) but wasn't feeling much of a stretch, so the next day I moved to the half-way setting. I've been using it first thing in the morning, last thing at night, and once during the day, for the last 6 days now. I find that it relieves any back pain instantly and that seems to last for about an hour or so before coming back. But my real problem is not back pain but the referred leg pain, and so far there's been no change. At the moment, if I stand up for longer than a minute, or walk for more than 10 yards, I get an excrutiating pain down my leg. The pain only goes away if I lie down flat on my back.
It's only been 6 days so I'm still hopeful that the traction will eventually help my sciatica. I'm sure everyone using it has different experiences. I wanted to get a few stories from others who have used it. How long did it take before your sciatica got better, how often were you using it, and are you still using it? Any feedback appreciated.

Re: Nubax Trio - my experience so far
Hi Kym,
I'm sorry to read that the Nubax has not worked for you. I too am in a great deal of pain, just trying to come off Tramadol/Ultram and the withdrawal symtoms are hell. I feel like a drug addict. I would give my life savings for my back to be normal again. I had a laminectomy performed on my L5/S1 level in 1994. Surgeons were real butchers in those days. I did chat with Jesse about the Nubax but he suggested I should try trigger point therapy. Trigger point therapy might be the way to go. Good luck and best wishes Tony (United Kingdom)
