foot drop pins & needles from back surgery
I had back surgery with decompression, fusion, instrumentation screwed in and 5th disc removal. Why whould this give me pins and needles in my rt. foot nonstop after surgery and the feeling of walking on cut glass? My whole leg is weak. I wear a brace and it feels awful. I'm doing therapy to strengthen my back and tens unit. I also have numbness in the rt. leg from midpoint down and on my foot. Electric probes are being used on the numb muscle. The pain in intollerable. I can't stant it anymore! I wake up and go to sleep with it everyday. I almost don't want my foot anymore.....

Hi Babs,
I do feel for you in that much pain. So sorry to hear that. Does anything help? If you have spoken to your healthcare provider about it what did they say? Do they have a plan to help you with this at all? From what you have said you did not have this kind of pain pre surgery?
Gentle hugs

Re: foot drop pins & needles from back surgery
Hi Babs
I had 2 levels done. I have had pain, numbness and most of the time you can't eventouch the skin. Hurts just to put a sock on. My feet swell up and look like 2 footballs. I also have developed foot drop on my left side , so I know what you mean when you say I would like to just cut it off. Now they tell me I also got from my last surgery, R.S.D. which you can not cure. Just wanted to tell you to hang in there, maybe try some MS Contin, that works the best for me. Don't give up, sooner or later someone will come up with a cure! Have a great night.
Bob ....
