Do both accupunture and prolotherapy heal laxed ligaments. After doing extensive research on how to heal the laxed ligaments in my back, everything says that prolotherapy is the only true cure so your ligaments are strong again. My accupunturist says that the only thing you need to cure something in your body is nutrients to the injured area. But I also know that ligaments are very poor in blood supply so that is why they take so long to heal. Does accupunture needling go as deep as prolotherapy needling to deliver nutrients and promote healing? Ihave been going to accupunture for about 8 months on and off and I have gotten some relief from muscle spams and soreness. BUt can it cure my laxed ligaments. Any suggestions about prolotherapy? I have been dealing with this conditions for over 1 and a half years now. Still fighting. Thanks!!!

Jose: Do some reading on prolotherapy and find a qualified prolotherapy doctor in your area to see if you're a candidate for the treatment. Look for someone who specializes in prolotherapy specifically.
Acupuncture and prolotherapy address the problem in different ways, but prolotherapy is the option that's designed to stimulate your body's natural healing processes at the source of the problem. Good luck!

I have had prolotherapy done with very good success. I referred both my sister and my best friend's boyfriend to Dr. Donna Alderman. They had remarkable success as well. She is a leader in prolotherapy. Prolotherapy and accupuncture are 2 very different modalities ...each working on different healing aspects of the body.
