Questions for people that have achieve some level of relief from back pain?
I got this email today and you can just hear his frustration, anger but at the same time he is telling me his story and reaching out for help...
*****************Email*********************
I don't like to be mislead ... your offer was to send me a report (free); instead, you were just trying to sell me your products. I have cervical and lumbar stenosis (have had a cervical discectomy and fusion) and am facing a fusion on my lumbar spine which I want to avoid. I had no choice about the cervical surgery as I was told I would be paralyzed without the surgery. I had hoped to get information from you not just a sales pitch!
I am not sending my money to anyone who is misleading ... you pay those people to do advertising and make recommendations for you. I have already spent over $6,000 on such "miracle treatment plans" by a chiropractor that did not help at all but was approved by the FDA!
No thanks!
****************************************************
My question is to those of you like Dave and Paul and other that have educated your self to a level that you understand what needs to be done. What inspired you to take the steps to educate your self on all that needed to be done.
How is it that one person can read our site and think its a scam...
***************Email********************
Im not sure what you're attenpting to send me, but if it's the link for your webpage where you want me to spend $97 for a book/dvd...stop sending it as these "cures" that these wesbites promote NEVER work..it's always a scam!
and then other people read our site, understand that we are saying and it makes perfect sense to them...
Please help me understand...
Steve

Re: Questions for people that have achieve some level of relief from back pain?
Steve-
I think as pain sufferers in America we want to take a pill and be done with it. However, the back is a different animal entirely because it is always engaged. Not like a leg where you can use crutches. That being said I think we go into each therapy with "blind trust" for that person.
i.e. We go to the chiro and it is a sublaxation and is no problem yet 4 months and 3K later no change
#2 - Next PT and it is called Lumbar Strain and they say no problem and we think we have the answer yet 4 months and no change
#3 - Then we talk to our friends who tell us we have to try yoga or pilates and that just hurts
#4 Next we go to a neursurgeon who wants to cut us and we are very scared.
#5 Now we search the internet looking for answers and back solutions are like *******s....everyone has a different one....
All the while what we thought would be quick has worn us down with chronic pain and we become untrusting.
I have walked in this mans shoes. I was also untrusting of the LTBP system. However, it had validity and I am of the school if I can find any tid bit of information to improve my life (taking my pain from an 8 to a 5 lets say) then it is worth it.
I can only answer for myself but my healing is ongoing but it was never a straight line up. It was more like the stock market (not recently LOL) up 3 days and a little pull back.....up 2 days and a little pull back....
I wish it were more clear but I was in so much pain I did not know if I was getting better it was so slow incrementally. I just read and read and read. I read clinical trials from australia that said the key was the TVA and multifidus and how the multifidus atrophies very quickly.
I also understand the LTBP position here for the simple reason is that muscle imbalances are very prevelant but the HUGE CAVEAT is that if it does not work you get your money back.
The longer I have read the more i realize back therapy is not a one size fits all and we each have to take responsibility for what works for us. (i too wish my healed on its own like most of my lucky friends)....but wishes are for kids.
I realize I am probably rambling but I see both sides here, but there is no risk to try it.

Good post Paul
I hear ya and agree with you
I think most people try chiro's, regular physio, acupuncture ect
I think someone is lucky if they find muscle imbalances straight away ( this site ) without going down all the other roads
I can understand why that guy thinks like that, know one can blame him, there's always someone or something which is saying this will help
I've been reading about the TVA and multifidus, it's interesting for sure

Re: Questions for people that have achieve some level of relief from back pain?
The issue I have with this site (I purchased the system & continue to check the forum) is that whatever one's problem is - the answer is that it's caused by muscle imbalances (especially Jesse). Sure, everyone has muscle imbalances - if you're right-handed, chances are the muscles on your right side are stronger than your left. And for many people, addressing the imbalances MAY ease the pain. But it's not the ONLY cause of back/neck pain. If it's the ONLY cause, why do you sell Lifezyme? Ah, to help with the inflammation. So which come 1st, imbalances or inflammation or something else.
There are alot of people like me where there's no explanation for years of continuous, chronic pain. All the "experts" and costly tests don't produce a definitive diagnosis. So they guess & say it's got to be SI dysfunction, or facet syndrome, or fibromyalgia, or muscle imbalances.
All I'm saying is the answer to chronic (not acute) pain relief is a multi-disciplinary approach. There's no silver bullet - rather a combination of exercise, massage, chiropractic, anti-inflammatories, pain meds, and yes... sometimes surgery!

I understand what he is thinking, Im looking to be able to communicate with him...
What I would like to know is what triggers your willingness to go buy a book read it and then say there must be more and then you you get the next book and you say that helped there must be more...
He spent $6000 it did not help him, he gets to my page and he see my page but does not read about muscle imbalances or postural dysfunctions misses the the concept and thus will struggle on till he finds the thing that will help him.
What im asking is what trait in you keep you reading and what in about me keeps you coming back...
Thanks
Steve

Re: Questions for people that have achieve some level of relief from back pain?
I know the trait in me is perfectionism. I am big on all types of reading to help me where I am deficient.
Same thing with back pain. I will pick up anything that will address something I had not heard about or boasts a high rate of recovery.
Your site is well written. I have done copyrighting and your site is very well written and has many "hooks" that captivate a person. Let's also say it is easy to captivate certain people....
1)overweight people
2) bald men
3) beauty tips for women
4) back pain
5) get rich quick
**there are many more
However, you must realize for every valid system (like yours) there are 2 hacks selling some "sciatic cream" or some other crap.
I do not know if there is a common trait back pain sufferers have but I know if pain is the first thing on your mind when you awake and first thing when you go to bed you will do anything and i mean anything to get relief. Unless it is under a 5 painwise (which you could live with) you will leave no stone unturned..
Believe me. I am no special person who is any smarter or more enlightened than anyone else. I have just been through the ringer and refuse to give up.
I hope I answered the question.

Re: Questions for people that have achieve some level of relief from back pain?
I've suffered on and off with fibromyalgia for 18 years during which time I have read and learned much about coping and helping myself with the chronic muscle spasms. During the past year I have been dealing with a herniated lumbar disc. The pain has at times been intense, with periformas syndrome and sciatica. But, as an eternal OPTIMIST, I will not let this condition win. Therefore I continue to be on a quest for ways to overcome the pain. After trying all of the many conventional modes of treatment through the various professionals, practicing pilates, yoga, deep breathing and mindbody knowledge (Dr. John Sarno)I began to search the WEB. Finding your site was a blessing because I was struck by your personal comments and the testimonies of many of your clients. With a money back guarantee, I felt I had nothing to lose, except possibly some pain. Within weeks, the exercises had started to bring relief, so I tried the lifezyme knowing inflammation in the body is a symptom of the fibro pain. Again, less pain, more well being. Knowing I still had a long way to go, I tried the BackJoy to help with sitting.
It's so exciting to find some relief after all the pain, that I'm encouraged to try the Fenix System to release trigger points.
The better I feel, the better I want to feel! And I know that if it is to be it's gotta be up to me to get there.
Peace.

But where is the free guide? It's all testimonials and some initial info but no guide. That is what ticked him off. It IS misleading. Even if the product does really work.
