I wanted to share with you how a Revisionist Back Surgeon at The Johns Hopkins Hospial has healed my failed back surgery. I wanted to let people know to not give up hope and
that you have to fight to get better and that you can find relief from your pain.
Four years ago at the age of 40, I underwent my first back surgery, a spinal fusion of the L5 and S1. I took me five months to recover and then I was able to go back to work and resume normal activities. In fact my husband and I decided to have a third child.
Not until January, 2011 did I start to have problems in which I started to have numbness in both of my feet, weakness in both legs and lower back pain. The pain on average was a seven or eight on the pain scale 24/7. I had trouble going up and down the stairs and I couldn't even go grocery shopping or out to dinner because of the constant pain. It turns out that my cage from the previous surgery had become loose and a screw was touching my S1 nerve root. It felt like I had a cavity in my back that just would't go away. All I could think about all the time was the pain. In addition, the disc above my previous surgery was worn out and I needed a fusion of the L4 and L5. I went to two doctors in Cincinnati, OH and nobody was willing to operate on me. The doctors told me that they weren't willing to do surgery on me because it would be life threatening. The screw that moved was too close to the main artery in my body. The doctor told me that I would just have to live with the pain and he referred me pain management. I underwent three epidurals within a three month time period, each only lasted three days and a discogram. I had to quit my pharmaceutical sales job and I was on a high dose of pain medication. Now, I know why no one was willing to operate, one they didn't want to kill me and two they were afraid of future litigation if they didn't correct the problem. By the grace of god, miracles do happen. My nephew, had just graduated from medical school at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and he told me to come and see his mentor physician who was a Revisionist Back Surgeon. I didn't know such a specialist existed. It is five weeks since I underwent my surgery and it is a miracle. The constant 24/7 pain is gone and I am feeling 90% better. The moral of the story is don't give up hope, keep fighting to find someone that can help you. God Bless!

Excellent Story of back pain relief! It is a shame that there are NOT MORE SKILLED Revisionist Back Surgeons that have the skills and dedication described.
Many senior's experience such excruciating back pain that to retain self care they require
a motorized chair (Scooter) to remain mobile.Would like to receive MORE such information as this story!
