HEALING PAD
Hi just wanted to ask a couple questions about the FIR heating pad. For anyone who has it... is it as great as it sounds? What are some of its benefits over a traditional heating pad... does it help to loosen up trigger points? How about with fibramyalgia? I am really thinking about one... but the cost is kind of holding me back. I have the money... but just want to make sure its worth what it costs. So far I'm VERY happy with everthing i gotten from the lose the back pain guys. And as far as the fibramyalgia, my mom was diagnosed with it a few months back (though I'm sure its been there for YEARS) and was thinking if we could share it, i would be more inclined to pay that kind of money. Thanks . Also... have been looking at a homemedics shiatsu massage pad for my office chair... any experience guys? worth it or waste of money... ______________________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________________________________________________

Hi Brandon
I have the homemedics shiatsu massage pad it cost around £ 100
I brough it before I started any research, so it's quite a while back now
Personlly I'd say a waste of money, you can feel it after you've been on it, but it's still not strong enough on my watch
It also depends on where your main problem areas are, mine is the IP adductors area, so it's not much good
I'd get the TP Total Body Package instead of the shiatsu massage chair

Re: HEALING PAD
Hi Brandon
In nature there are all sorts of different types of energy.
Energy from the Sun, light energy etc, nuclear radiation tec.
If you drop a stone into a still pond, you will see waves on the water.
The distance from the peak of one wave to the peak of the next is called the wavelength.
Now, it happens that the shorter the wavelength, the more penetrating power energy has.
Light energy has a longer wavelength than Infra-Red [ IR ] energy, and IR energy has a longer wavelength than x-rays.
This is proven by knowing that light will shine through a piece of paper, but not through your body.
X-rays will pass through both.
Now, heat energy is a wave energy as well.
It comes between light energy and Infra-Red energy in terms of wavelength.
This means that IR energy will penetrate deeper into your body [ muscles and tissues ] than will heat energy.
It has been proven that normal heat pads only penetrate a few millimeters into the body.
IR or FIR pads can penetrate deeper, going into the muscles themselves.
They are well worth trying.

Re: HEALING PAD
Thanks for the reply guys... just a couple more questions DAVE.
I hate to sound stupid (though you'd think I'd be used to it by now ) But what exactly does this heat penetrating into the muscles do? I know that when I get off of my ten dollar heating pad I feel nice and warm and FUZZY. IT does feel nice, but what exactly is this heat supposed to be doing for our bodies?

Re: HEALING PAD
Also just one more thing... kind of off this topic... but I've been taking the Heal n Soothe for about a month now... Can't say that I feel tons better have been up to 6 to 8 pills a day... but I"m still hopeful that they are doing my body well inside (bought 6 bottles and decided they couldn't hurt) Just wondering if there is anything in my diet that could be making them less effective? what foods, drinks, etc, cause the enzymes to work more or less well. I hope i'm not asking for too much info. Thanks.

Re: HEALING PAD
I agree with Weight Training Paul the Homedics is a waste of money. I had a coupon from Bed Bath and Beyond and got it for 20 percent off so I bought the top of the line office chair massager for 160. It was great when I tried it out at the store. I didn't use it for about 4 months after and then I had sciatica and even then I couldn't sit on a desk chair to use it. It is not a worthy massager if you have serious problems that require you to LTBP and beyond.
Fast forward to today, which I bought the Therasage healing pad. I swear this is one of my best investment this year. Do some reading on LTBP and google and it does exactly as promised. And as Dave is poetically describing it heats up deep within where the healing occurs. With traditional heat pads, they only warm the surface of the skin. With this healing pad you can feel the blood pulsating after you use it. The quality is extremely rich. This feels like it will last for years if not a life time. The only thing I don't like about it is after it reaches the desired temperature it clicks. Sometimes when I wake up too early and have trouble going back to sleep I use it and fall asleep real good with it. But then the clicking wakes me up or integrates into my dreams. But other than that I used it for a long drive.
I'm sure you and your mom will absolutely love it. My wife uses it also just to feel good.
BTW I sold my Homedics on Amazon and got most of money back.

Re: HEALING PAD
Hi Brandon
Good question.
When muscles get tight, they build up a lot of waste products.
Three acids are left in the muscles.
The most important is lactic acid. The same stuff in sour milk.
When you press on any muscle in your body, and it it is sore, that is from lactic acid.
A muscle that has been cleansed and has had all knots and adhesions removed from it can withstand the pressure [ and I'm being serious ] from an NFL linbacker sitting on it.
My quads used to be so tight, that even pressing against them with fingers was painful.
Now, my wife can take her elbow and dig in as deep as she can, and I don't even blink an eyelid.
Can't do that yet with my hamstrings, but am getting there.
When the IR heat goes into the muscles, it encourages blood flow, which helps remove the wastes, which in turn helps the muscle to relax.

Re: HEALING PAD
Just one more question...
Who makes the healing pad that is sold on the lose the back pain website? I just like to do some product review for quality before I spend that amount of money.
Thanks guys.

Re: HEALING PAD
Also does it come with both the wall plug and the car plug? or does it come with one OR the other?

Re: HEALING PAD
I haven't tried this healing pad.
I usually stick to the traditional heat and ice packs. I use ice, 3 times a day, 20 minutes at a time, and heat before I am going to do something active.
I buy my supplies from www.vitalitymedical.com

Re: HEALING PAD
Well, I got my healing pad in the mail a few days ago.
Been using it right before bed and I think i like it. Seems to be really relaxing me and I absolutely knock out. Hasn't really helped the crunching noise in my back that I was hoping for, but maybe with time and work on the ltbp system.
One thing.. I don't think i care for the electric plug. The cord with the car charger is attached to the pad, then plugs into a transformer, which has a wall plug cord that plugs into it. Not sure if I will use it in the car much, so I think i would rather just have had one with the wall plug alone.
Would love hear what others think or their healing pads!!!!

Re: HEALING PAD
The far infrared heat in the healing pad we offer is deep penetrating... regular heating pads/packs are NOT so they only heat up the dermis... not deep into the muscles and beneath.
Also, far infrared has proven to strengthen the immune system and speed healing, regular heat does not.
The quality is top notch on this product... we have been selling it now for quite a while and to my knowledge, we have very few if any issues at all...
And my wife and I have been personally using it for near a year now... and we use it every night for several hours between the two of us... so it certainly gets used :)
It really is a great product so to anyone out there who has been 'thinking about it' I highly recommend it.

Re: HEALING PAD
One thing I wish for is that our Government would regulate all these products/supplements out there that claim to do this and that....Some of the stuff out there really does work but a lot of it is just companies praying on desperate people to make a buck ......FDA regulated supplements would be great to save us $$ from the Imposters.......ConsumerLab.Com is a great site that does independent testing on certain supplements and will tell you straight out if the ingredients and amounts listed area actually in the product.... they also do tests to see if the supplement digests properly so it is actually absorbed by your digestive system
I personally found a good home Ultrasound unit works great for small acute or chronic injuries but probably not so great for large deep injuries.......Inversion table also works well .....I found Magnetic therapy to be a total waste of money
I like what I have read on this FIR heat ....almost sounds too good to be true with all the great things it does....seems like way to much of a miricle Item ...throwing in that it could help you lose weight was a big red flag and turn off to me cause it seems like a marketing ploy to add a whole other consumer base (people that want to lose weight)to a product that is deemed for healing.....Im not planning on using it to lose weight so Im going to give it a try....Theres lots of variations of this product that Ive seen...they come in full size mats that you can lie on etc....I play a lot of sports so IM always looking for things to help those out....Anyways I found this same exact unit for $138.95 and should have it in a few days.......just hope its not another dissapointment

Jeff,
The last thing we need is the BIG, greedy and corrupt government "regulating" more... they already do too much to restrict us while lining the pockets of BIG Pharma...
And I suggest you read the research on Far Infrared... that's where we got all of our information on it.
Skepticism is good, cynicism isn't.

Re: HEALING PAD
oh trust me I agree with you on the big greedy government thing...but still some form of regulation needs to be done on supplements and other products so the benefit claims of that product are supported with official evidence that the product or supplement does what it actually says it will do.....so us as consumers get what we have paid for.....Im sure most people on here who are desperate to get out of pain have and will try just about any product or regime that pops up in the advertising media...
An example of how things are not regulated..........I can personally call Company "A" which will put a list of ingredients I want into a capsule ....have Company "B" put a label on a plastic bottle and then I can list all the benefits of those ingredients and come up with a name for the product and put it on the market...and for not all that much money......the ingredients werent regulated and my claims are not either so I put a little star on the bottle and in small print you have "these statements have not been evaluated by the FDA"
Im just saying I as a consumer and everyone on this site should want to know what they are paying for is what they are getting ...especially in these economic times.......I love what I have read on the FIR heat and your site provides great information on it and other products out there that are intended to help with pain ...but If I drop $179 on this heating/healing pad and I dont fell all those wonderful benefits listed ...heck yea I wont be a very happy customer and it will probably end up in my closet or on Ebay with all the other so called miricle products............but hey its Thanksgiving so Im going to hold out hope that this is one of those great products I can brag to all my friends about how good it is....not being cynical.....definitly skeptical though.........Happy Holiday all!!!!!

Hi there, I tried one of these but was sadly unimpressed by how effective it was. I then stumbled upon a Russian back pain solution. Wow what a difference this thing has made. It really gets in deep to your aches. Not going to break the bank either.
