‘Sticky Blood’: More Dangerous for Your Heart Than Cholesterol

It’s time to put the “cholesterol myth” to bed.

You see, cholesterol has been mainstream medicine’s heart disease scapegoat for decades.

Yet numerous studies reveal total cholesterol is a terrible indicator for cardiovascular disease. One Japanese study even shows folks with higher cholesterol live longer.

And while I always recommend to keep your LDL and HDL levels in check, the dangers of cholesterol have been overblown.

So now it’s time to focus on the REAL issue robbing Boomers of their health and vitality.

What am I talking about?Thick, sticky blood (formally, hypercoagulation).

Because unlike cholesterol, modern studies show high blood viscosity is a MAJOR risk factor for heart disease.

Viscosity is a measure of a liquid’s thickness.

For example, honey has high viscosity and water has low viscosity.

But what happens when you have high blood viscosity (i.e. your blood “gets too thick”)?

Well, the now famous Edinburgh Artery Study (and evidence from other prestigious journals) has discovered a strong link between thick blood and…

  • Excess belly fat…
  • High blood pressure…
  • Diabetes…
  • Glaucoma and macular degeneration…
  • Aging…
  • Blood clots and deep vein thrombosis (which can cause a pulmonary embolism – a blockage in one of the pulmonary arteries in your lungs)

leg deep vein thrombosis (dvt)And to make matters worse…

A study from the UC Davis Medical school shows a connection between thick blood and Alzheimer’s Disease.

In other words, while mainstream medicine obsesses over cholesterol…

Thick blood has been robbing millions of their youth, vitality, and independence.

So if you’re remotely interested in keeping your wits, staying out of a nursing home, and warding off the grim reaper…

Then you NEED to watch out for the real cause of sticky blood…

The REAL Cause of Hypercoagulation: Fibrin

Obesity, smoking, or even sitting for too long can lead to hypercoagulation and blood clots.

But if you’re a regular reader, there’s another factor you might have heard me mention…

fibrin red blood cellsYet most doctors forget about when it comes to syrupy blood.

Excess fibrin.

Fibrin is that “sticky” scar tissue your body uses to help cover and heal wounds. Fibrin helps close wounds and repair cells.

And what does “scar tissue” have to do with thick blood and heart health?

Everything!

Studies show excess fibrin can result in chronic joint pain, inflammation, heart disease, and even cancer.

And studies from Columbia University and the University of Amsterdam show a strong link between excess fibrin and hypercoagulation.

Here’s the rub:

Fibrin is sticky, strong and forms a very fine “mesh” that looks like a net.

Under normal circumstances, fibrin is not a problem.

But in our modern world, fibrin is overproduced.

In most folks, fibrin is a runaway freight train. Scientists say it comes from chronic inflammation caused by environmental toxins and highly processed foods.

molassesWhat happens next?

Large hunks of this excess fibrin enter your bloodstream. This transforms your blood into a syrupy, gooey mess. It now runs like thick molasses through your veins and arteries.

The result?

Harvard doctors say blood with the consistency of “motor oil” is harder to pump. This puts extra stress on your ticker. It’s harder for your red blood cells to deliver oxygen and nutrients to organs and tissues.

Plus, evidence shows hypercoagulated blood is harsh and coarse.

hand over heart chest painWhat does this mean?

Imagine you take out all of the blood from your body, mix it with sand, and then put it back in.

This “grainy” blood now rubs against your arteries’ sensitive lining, doing damage every time your heart beats.

And health experts say this can spell “doom” for your heart and arteries.

That’s the bad news.

The good news?

There’s a simple way to get your blood back to a healthy viscosity.

But WARNING:

Avoid any of Big Pharma’s pills.

Here’s why:

“Blood Thinners Almost Killed Me…”

Warfarin (aka “Coumadin”) and other blood thinners are mainstream medicine’s weapon of choice to fight hypercoagulation.

warfarinThere’s just one issue:

Blood thinning drugs come with some of the WORST side effects of any Big Pharma pill.

You could say the “cure” is worse than the disease.

Anyone who has been on them – or has seen a loved one suffer their effects – knows they should be avoided like the plague.

Blood in urine, external bleeding, internal bleeding, liver damage, and even death. Because in 2011, hundreds of people died from side effects stemming from the blood thinner dabigatran (Pradaxa).

Plus, this is another case of Big Pharma treating the symptoms, NOT the condition. Blood thinning drugs are not specifically designed to dissolve excess fibrin that causes goopy blood.

Dr. Mother Nature has a better way to do that.

“Eat” Away Excess Fibrin With
Dr. Mother Nature’s Fibrin Munchers

They’re called proteolytic enzymes.

And what do proteolytic enzymes do?

Studies show they naturally “munch away” hunks of fibrin in your bloodstream. Scientists also say they eliminate “bad” prostaglandins that cause excessive inflammation.

Now, proteolytic enzymes occur naturally in your body. However, after age 27, the body’s production of proteolytic enzymes plummets. By age 50, production has slowed to a crawl.

And if that wasn’t bad enough…

Your body isn’t naturally equipped to dissolve the amount of fibrin you’re getting due to rampant inflammation from chemicals in our modern environment.

In other words, inflammation has “broken” your body’s ability to produce ENOUGH proteolytic enzymes to dissolve hunks of massive fibrin overgrowth.

And it’s pretty much impossible to boost your store of proteolytic enzymes through diet alone – even if you switch to an all-natural, organic diet.

But you can safely and easily replace them through supplementation. And unlike many vitamins and drugs, you literally cannot get too many enzymes.

When one considers how helpful they are for reversing damage in your cardiovascular system… relieving joint pain… inflammation from diabetes… AND safely keeping your blood thin…

It’s not just a “good idea” to find a high quality proteolytic enzyme supplement for daily use…

It’s essential.

Plus, proteolytic enzymes have over 40 years of use… and over 160 peer-reviewed studies verifying their effectiveness.

So know that unlike many “miracle” supplements, proteolytic enzymes are NOT all hype. Science shows they actually work.

However, there are only a handful of proteolytic enzyme supplements on the market.

Fortunately, you can get the world’s most potent proteolytic enzyme supplement right here at the Healthy Back Institute®.

I have to take warfarin – due to having my aortic valve replaced with an artificial valve. (10 years ago). Luckily I have not as yet suffered any of the side-effects you describe – although of course I understand the negative effects of any chemical drug.

I am in a catch 22 situation – of course I would love to give up taking warfarin every day – but my life depends on the stuff.
Are you suggesting that H&S can take the place of wafarin in my (and similar) cases? (I wish!)

As well as warfarin I also take 3 – 5 Soothe-and-Heal caps per day as well and I am regularly testing my NRI – I want to eventually use S&H to reduce the amount of warfarin I take – if not replace it.

    1. John Hasse says:

You need to maintain a certain ‘viscosity’. I am sure you are regularly tested. (not being in on the racket, I am not familiar with all the numbers.) There are many things you might be able to do to assist your system. I give blood regularly. (I am told this is the single most significant thing a person can do.) Unfortunately, being on warfarin, that is not an option. Heal and soothe should help the numbers some. Other things that can help are: Garlic, Gingko, Natto, and light therapy. Dr. Mercola tells of a light source which is placed in the nose, which significantly improves circulation. Shalom John

    …opps – of course I mean INR…(not NRI)

    1. Rose Ayana says:

      Geoff
Make sure your doc looks at the ingredients. I take supplements with some of the same ingredients and I know they thin blood further. I too take warfarin from history of pulmonary blood clots. My warfarin dose is half what it was when I started and I still have very thin blood. My doc would never let me take some of these for fear of too much bleading. I have begged for anti inflamatories but to no avail as the risk is too high. I would be very cautious and dose very carefully with your doctors approval, and of course the INR will tell you the impact very quickly. My doc lets me take my supplements because the bleeding culprits are miniscule in comparison to some of these. I also take 1/4 the recommended dose of my vitamin supplements and started even lower than that. Bottom line do your own research and work out a monitored plan with your doctor. I had a recurrence of pulmonary blood clots when we tried to change one of my meds. I could not tolerate the substantially equivalent drug and just quit taking it. Unbeknownst to me it had thinning properties and probably triggered the recurrence of blood clots. I hate warfarin but it has kept me alive and you understand the need for delicately balancing your blood levels. Good luck.

Why is it so hard for MDs to understand the pill Mills and other alternative holistic remedies? I’m in FL and MDs dint event want to hear of be natural ways to heal. Are they getting a kick back or fancy vacation?

  4. Janet Spittler says:

In NYC and Boston my MDs studied natropathic, homeopathic, Chinese, aureveda and asked me what type of treatment would you like?

  5. Steve, HBI Staff says:

    Geoff,

    1. No we are not saying that enzymes are a substitution for your medication. Nor should any one replace or substitute a supplement for their prescribed medications. Nor should anyone adjust their prescribed medications with out consulting their physician first.

    2. We do not suggest or support the use of Heal n Soothe for someone taking a blood thinner like, warfarin, without the direct super vision of their physician.

    Steve, HBI Staff

  6. Dorothy Correll says:

I want to know about the way to have a healthy heart and lower my blood pressure in a natural way.

  7. Steve says:

    Dorothy,

We suggest that you consult your physician in this matter as they are the only ones that know your compete medical history and thus can present options for you, that said, we would suggest what while you are there, you ask them about specific natural supplements and other natural means.

Ask them about supplement including, Enzymes, CoQ10, Omage 3, Garlic, Folic acid, Vitamin c, including changes to your diet ect ect ect

Ask them if you are healthy enough to exercise both cardio and strength training

Ask them about meditation and stress management…

Ask them is there is any reason why you can not do any of these heart healthy things???

  8. Rhonda says:

I currently do not suffer from any heart disease or hypertension and I am not on any blood thinners. I am 54 years old and also do not have elevated cholesterol. I am probably 30 pounds overweight though and do not regularly exercise. I want to begin to recondition my body and prevent diseases that commonly come with aging. I also do not have diabetes or any other endocrine issues. I only take an allergy pill and an acid reflux pill daily. I do suffer from sciatica from herniated discs in my lower back. This causes nagging and sometimes severe hip pain that goes down my leg. I wold love to find a one on one natural health advisor to help me and hold me accountable for taking better care of myself and improving my overall health. What would you suggest?

  9. Admin says:

My fingers WERE STUCK LIKE SOME ONE HAD PUT CRAZY GLUE ON MY FINGERS!!!! HAD TO RUN WATER OVER MY FINGERS TO GET THEM LOSE! When I told my Medical doctors, they said it wasn’T frim sticky blood. They just gave me the crazy look!

  11. Rosa Koehn says:

I’m 74 years old. I don’t take any medication from Dr’s nor take any vitamins. I don’t even take aspirin for a headache. Don’t get me wrong. When I catch a bug I take vitamins and home remedies. I make sure that my food that I eat is my medicine.I don’t like going to Dr’s. I trust God but not Dr’s. People would be healthier if they stayed away from Dr’s The only thing Dr’s are good for are, accidents like cuts or broken bones. Why should I trust the Dr. and not my Creator. I took care of my mother in law in my house for a year and weaned her from all her meds but two pills. Cut in half her Paceron pill for her Pace maker and half on her high blood pressure pill. When I told the Dr. I wasn’t giving her all the other pills at her request he told her she had to sign a paper that states if she starts having a heart attack they would not try to save her life because she would not go to nursing home cause she stopped taking her Warferin meds. After stop taking two water pills she was taking all her swelling went away. She felt much better without all the meds she was taking.I can go on and on. She is still alive and will be turning 96 this coming March. GOD is LOVE!

  14. Ronald Harris says:

Don’t think I have a problem and that is because I take a lot of vitamins and minerals. But before I take anything else I will know what is in the make of the product, so what are the ingredients of your product???

    1. Steven Hefferon says:

    1. Steven Hefferon says:
