Are You Starting to
Lose Your Memory?

Take This Short Quiz to Find Out...

Do you ever...

Go into a room to get something – and forget why you’re there?

Find yourself face to face with a person you know – and draw a complete blank on his name?

Lose track of something you intended to say – despite the fact it was terribly important?

Misplace small items – like your keys, reading glasses and your cell phone – on a routine basis?

Go to the store for milk – and come home with everything but?

Dear friend,

Even if you just related to one of the questions, it's a good bet that your quality of life is under attack as your memory is more then just the ability to recall dates and times...

Your life your relationships and job all depend on your ability to tap into your memory.

So-called “senior moments” can be downright embarrassing at times.

If you're like most people, you try to laugh and shrug them off. But the whole time you're secretly worrying that you've begun the downhill slide to the loss of memory... freedom... and independence.

I don't want to scare you, but if you’ve checked one or more statements on the above quiz, you could be right.

Your memory could be in trouble.

Yeah, I know that's not what you wanted to hear. The good news is... you don't have to accept age-related memory loss – and eventually living out your “golden years” in a nursing home – as the normal consequence of growing older.

It doesn't have to be that way at all.

There's an easy way to protect your mind... restore your razor-sharp memory... and balance your emotions – so you can live with confidence and vitality.

More about that in a moment.

First, here’s why you simply can’t ignore those memory glitches you’ve been experiencing...

40% of Folks over 60 Suffer with Memory Loss
(That's Almost HALF!)

Memory Loss: The New American Epidemic

Why is age-related memory loss becoming such a huge problem in America?

A staggering 77 million Baby Boomers are retiring. We are making a shift to a predominantly older society where people are living longer. And the longer you live, the greater the odds of losing your memory.

According to health experts, at least 10 million Baby Boomers – including one out of 6 women over the age of 55 – will develop severe memory loss. 76

You don’t have to be one of them. Take steps to save your memory now...

That disturbing statistic was announced by Dr. Robert J. Pokorski in a study published in a 2002 issue of the Journal of Insurance Medicine.1

It sounds harsh, but here’s the reality of memory loss in today’s world:

  • An estimated 24 million people live with some form of memory loss. (Unfortunately, that number is expected to skyrocket to a whopping 84 million by 2040.)2
  • More than five million Americans suffer with memory loss that’s so severe it steals their ability to interact with their family members or take care of themselves – and usually leads to them living out their days in a nursing home. (If you reach the ripe-old age of 85, you have a 50% chance of experiencing this.)3
  • In just five years, the number of Americans living with this extreme, life-destroying memory disorder will leap to 7.7 million – and is expected to double to more than 16 million by 2050.4

Scarier still... if you have episodes of memory loss now, you have a much-greater chance of experiencing the more catastrophic, independence-stealing types of memory problems as you continue to grow older.5

You've got to nip memory loss in the bud now. And it all starts with identifying...

Three Memory Stealers
That Can Ruin Your Life

It's really quite amazing when you think about it.

Your brain is basically just the size of a small head of cauliflower6, but it’s able to...

  • Control your body temperature, blood pressure, heart rate and breathing7...
  • Give you physical movement – such as talking, walking, standing, sitting and running8...
  • Accept a flood of information through your five different senses – and make sense of it all9...
  • Let you think, reason, dream and experience emotions10, and...
  • Give you the ability to remember even the most obscure facts and figures with the ease of a Jeopardy contestant.

It's a complicated information processing and control system11 that needs to maintain a delicate chemical balance in order to function properly.

And that's where you can run into trouble...

There are three memory “stealers” that meddle with your brain chemistry... stir up brain fog... and bring on the “senior moments.”

Memory Stealer #1: Aging

If you discuss memory loss with your doctor, he would probably tell you it’s the normal result of aging.

He gets his information from brain scientists who believe two “subtle” changes take place within our brains as we grow older12...

1. Our brains lose cells in areas that produce important neurotransmitters – the chemicals that carry information between the neurons in your brain.13

2. Your brain's “white matter” – the nerve cell fibers through which cell-to-cell communication takes place – undergo change.14

These age-related brain transformations make communication between your brain cells more difficult. And they start taking place as early as your late 20s and early 30s.15

So by the time you reach your 40s and 50s, you're more likely to leave your purse in the dressing room... blank out on your new neighbor’s name... and forget your ATM password on a fairly routine basis.

The good news is… memory loss does NOT have to be a normal part of aging. There are things you can do to enjoy clear thinking... sure-fire recall... and a sharp mind for decades to come.

But more on that later. First, let's look at...

Memory Stealer #2: Stress and Anxiety

Do you...

  • Feel agitated and fearful for no apparent reason?
  • Find yourself worrying over seemingly trivial things
  • Feel like your stomach is constantly tied in knots?
  • Have trouble sleeping?
  • Regularly experience headaches or neck pain?

You could be dealing with memory-harming levels of anxiety.

Side Effects of Stress

Prolonged exposure to stress in your life can...

Increase your blood pressure81

Trigger the development of atherosclerosis – or plaque in your arteries82

Increase your risk of stroke83

Wreak havoc with your immune system84

Boost harmful inflammation in your body85

Disrupt your digestive system – and make “going” a nightmare86

And more!

A simple definition of anxiety is “high levels of stress endured over a long period of time.”16 And if that's what you've been experiencing, you're not alone.

An alarming 80% of Americans report experiencing chronic stress – mostly over their personal finances and the economy.17

And it's not just an American problem. The World Health Organization estimates that stress negatively affects nearly 450 million people worldwide.18

So how does stress and anxiety mess with your memory?

Your “Modern Lifestyle”
Gives You a Stress Overload

In order to understand stress and anxiety's effect on your memory, you need to first realize how your stress response works.

When danger is perceived – either real or imagined – your “flight or fight” response kicks into overdrive. Numerous functions are set into motion:

  • Your adrenal glands release adrenaline, cortisol and other stress hormones to boost your breathing, heart rate and blood pressure...
  • Oxygen-rich blood floods your brain and your muscles – so you can think fast and move fast.
  • Glucose and fatty acids rush into your bloodstream – supercharging your energy levels.
  • Other hormones shut down functions that are not needed during the emergency – such as growth, reproduction and the immune system – so energy can be focused on the areas of your body needed for response.

As a result, your senses heighten… your mind sharpens… and you become less sensitive to pain.19 You are at your personal best to handle the crisis.

Then, when the moment of danger is over, your body returns to normal and brings all your functions back into balance.

At least... that's the way it's supposed to work.

You see... this series of responses worked like a charm when our ancestors had to outrun an occasional hungry bear. But in these modern times, we're faced with different types of perceived “danger” – and they never stop coming...

You have a performance appraisal at work – and you're convinced your boss hates you.

You regularly run out of money before you run out of month.

Your mother-in-law dropped by for a visit two weeks ago – and is still camped out in your guest room.

Your son got suspended from school for hitting another kid.

Your doctor found something “troubling” during your last physical.

As a result, adrenaline and stress hormones – especially cortisol – are constantly surging in your body. This overloads your body with powerful hormones that were only meant for short-term duty in emergency situations.20

And what happens next is not pretty...

Chronic Stress Wreaks Havoc with Your Memory
– and Even KILLS Your Brain Cells

Cortisol a Memory-Helper?

When you experience them as Nature intended, low to moderate levels of stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline can actually improve your memory. It’s the higher, sustained levels of those hormones that disrupt your memory – and trigger those embarrassing senior moments.80

I don't have to tell you how bad stress is for your body.

For years now, researchers have been linking stress overload to a host of age-accelerating conditions and degenerative diseases – from heart problems to blood sugar imbalances and nearly everything in between.21

But the effect of stress and anxiety on your memory has been lesser known… until now...

It turns out that the blame for your memory problems can be laid squarely on the shoulders of one renegade hormone that's released when you’re under stress...

Glucocorticoid – or cortisol, for short.

You've probably heard of it. This particular stress hormone is already notorious for causing excess belly fat and increasing your risk of heart disease.22

Now it appears that cortisol also affects your ability to remember things and think clearly in two different ways:

1) Cortisol causes chemical imbalances in your brain by disrupting the normal function of neurotransmitters – like serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine - which are used by your brain cells to carry information.23 This makes it difficult for your brain to sort things out – and can even prevent it from laying down new memories or accessing already existing memories.24

2) According to renowned brain researcher Robert M. Sapolsky, sustained levels of cortisol can damage the hippocampus, the part of your brain that is critical for learning and memory.25

The problem is...

Once your hippocampus is damaged by cortisol, it can't give proper feedback to another part of your brain – the hypothalamus – to turn off cortisol production. The cortisol continues to be pumped into your body... which causes even more damage to your hippocampus... which causes even more cortisol production.26

Before you know it, your memory is on the fritz – and your ability to learn is impaired.

Memory Stealer #3: Depression

Treating Depression
Boosts Memory

Finnish researchers studied 174 adults with major depression. At the start of the study, the patients performed poorly on several neuropsychological tests of memory. But after being treated for depression for six months, patients whose depression had been reduced also reported fewer memory problems. And they performed better on the memory tests.77

It's a scientific fact: Depression makes you forgetful.

How can that be?

Depression causes imbalances in your brain's neurotransmitters – making it difficult for you to remember things... initiate tasks... make decisions... plan future actions... or organize your thoughts.27

And the big culprit here is a brain chemical called glutamate.

Glutamate is your brain’s most abundant excitatory neurotransmitter. This important brain chemical promotes the flow of signals between your nerve cells, turning off activity in some parts of your brain and activating other areas.28 It’s intimately involved with your memory, emotions and cognition.29

When you're depressed, your levels of glutamate soar. At the same time, you're making less of the neurotransmitters norepinephrine, dopamine and serotonin that are supposed to counteract the effects of glutamate.30

With your brain chemicals out of whack, it becomes a struggle for you to create new memories or recall old ones.

But your brain is only part of the problem. The physical symptoms of depression are also working against you.

You see… you need energy and focus to retrieve memories or form new ones. But when you're depressed, you lack the energy to focus your attention. You also have less interest in what's going on around you – and your motivation takes a serious nosedive.31

It's difficult to focus, so it's harder to remember.

Your Mood and Memory are Linked Together
in One Vicious Cycle

It doesn't take much to throw off the delicate balance of your brain chemistry – and wreak havoc with your memory.

Stress sends cortisol on a rampage – destroying your hippocampus neurons. Depression elevates glutamate levels. And here's something surprising I haven't told you yet...

...The opposite is also true.

Depression can trigger high cortisol levels – and even cause your hippocampus to shrink.32 And anxiety makes your glutamate levels soar.33

Your mood is intimately related to your brain chemistry – and to each other.

For example: An overload of stress and anxiety can lead to depression. Depression can lead to memory loss – which leads to more stress… which leads to more depression... which leads to more memory loss...

...Well, you get the picture.

With every bout of depression and anxiety, your brain chemistry is thrown off and your hippocampus is attacked. And your ability to learn and remember is hindered even more.

The good news is... you can end the vicious cycle.

Breakthrough 3-Step Formula
Restores Your Memory... Balances Your Moods...
and Gives You Your Life Back!

If you've been forgetting names… losing your keys... and finding your wallet in the freezer, you may have tried to boost your memory with supplements that promised the world – and failed you miserably.

There's a good reason they didn't work...

...Most memory supplements focus exclusively on nourishing and protecting your brain cells – without addressing the moods that may be contributing to the problem.

If you really want to sharpen your memory, you need tackle all the culprits behind your embarrassing senior moments and brain fog. You need to support healthy brain cells while bringing your moods into balance – so you can jumpstart your memory... clarify your thoughts... and once again be at the top of your game.

All it takes are three simple steps...

Step #1
Flood Your Brain with
Powerful Memory-Boosting Nutrients

Unexpected “Side Effect” of Acetyl-L-Carnitine

In one study, senior citizens with mild depression saw significant improvement after taking an acetyl-L-carnitine supplement. Researchers theorized that acetyl-L-carnitine helped treat depression by improving the overall chemical function of the nervous system.78

You don't have to let aging… stress… worries… and depression wreak havoc on your mind. You can stay as sharp-as-a-tack for decades to come – and live out your “golden years” on your terms.

It all starts with giving your brain the protection and nourishment it needs to operate in top form.

Right now, the market is flooded with supplements that claim to be the latest and greatest “memory cure.” I've done my research, and I've got to tell you... some of those nutrients are over-rated and not nearly as effective as the supplement-makers claim.

But not these...

I've come across five cutting-edge nutrients that really stand out from the pack. They've set the scientific world on fire and have been proven in studies to work near miracles on memory and cognition.

Amazing Memory Igniter: Alpha-glycerylphosphorycholine (A-GSP) is a mouthful to say – but it’s an important building block for acetylcholine, a key brain chemical for memory. It’s so critical; a deficiency in this chemical is the single most common reason for memory loss.34 But does taking A-GSP really help you remember better?

Check out the results of these two Italian studies:

  • Researchers reported in The Journal Pharmacology Biochemistry that behavior in rats injected for 20 days with A-GSP showed improved learning and memory capacity.35
  • In a study published in The Journal of International Medical Research, 120 patients with mild to moderate dementia were given A-GSP for 90 days – and showed definite symptomatic improvement.36

A-GSP also supports the nerves that respond to acetylcholine – which helps raise the activity levels in your brain’s learning and memory circuits. Plus, it helps keep your brain cell membranes in top shape.37

A Circulation-Booster that Also Helps Prevent Stroke? You Bet!

Researchers recently discovered that vinpocetine may play a valuable role in preventing stroke. In a study conducted at the Nagoya University School of Medicine in Japan, vinpocetine was found to “enhance red blood cell deformability in the brain.” The reduction of red blood cell deformability leads to the rigidifying of red blood cells – and that is a well-known contributing factor in stroke.87

Powerful Circulation Enhancer: Vinpocetine (pronounced vin-poe-ce-teen) comes from the common periwinkle plant. It has the amazing ability to cross the blood-brain barrier and act directly in your brain to boost circulation… brain cell energy... and oxygen use.38

Studies have found that vinpocetine enhances your memory... improves your ability to learn... and boosts mental clarity and alertness.39 For example:

  • In an Italian study of 22 elderly patients, a whopping 87% experienced improvement in cognitive function after taking vinpocetine daily for 30 days.40
  • In another study – this time by German researchers - 40 healthy volunteers were given vinpocetine daily for two days. This brief treatment brought significant improvement in memory.41

Vinpocetine works fast. Most people taking this powerful memory-booster see results in as little as seven to ten days.42

Brain Cells Super-Shield: The amino acid acetyl-L-carnitine works with your mitochondria (the energy “factory” in your cells) to help your body metabolize fat. This process is exceptionally crucial for the health of your nervous system.

Why? The myelin sheath that coats your nerve cells contains loads of fat. In fact, a myelin sheath with high fat content helps your brain perform more effectively. It insulates the nerves and allows communications between cells to travel faster. Any breakdown of the myelin sheath can keep your neurons from communicating with one another. And that can put your memory on the blink.43

Acetyl-L-carnitine protects the nerve cells in your brain. And studies have found that it shows promise in boosting cognitive function and reversing nerve damage.44

For example, in one study, a group of senior citizens were given an acetyl-L-carnitine supplement. They were suffering with the onset of a certain progressive (and irreversible) brain disease that will gradually destroy their memory, independence, and motor functions. After taking the acetyl-L-carnitine supplement, their symptoms of dementia improved.45

Free Radical Slayer: Alpha-lipoic acid is a powerful antioxidant that slides easily through the blood-brain barrier46 to protect your brain cells from vicious free radicals. It also boosts the production of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine in your brain, which is essential for healthy communications between cells.47

In studies, alpha-lipoic acid – alone or in combination with other antioxidants or L-carnitine – has been found to improve memory in aged animals, including rats, mice and dogs.48

An uncontrolled study followed 43 patients suffering with an irreversible memory disorder for four years. The patients took alpha-lipoic acid – along with acetylcholinesterase inhibitors – and experienced slower cognitive decline than is typical for the disease.49

Ancient Brain Booster: Ginkgo Biloba is actually one of the oldest living tree species – and one of the most extensively studied plants in the world.50 It’s ability to improve blood flow to the brain and enhance oxygen utilization makes it work like gangbusters to boost memory and concentration and relieve depression and anxiety.51

Studies show that ginkgo can help people with irreversible memory disorder by improving their ability to think, learn and remember… making it easier to perform daily activities of living... improving their social behavior... and reducing feelings of depression.52

Even more impressive... several studies have found that that ginkgo may work as well as prescription medications in delaying the symptoms of dementia for patients with irreversible memory disorders.53

Step #2
Soothe Your Frazzled Nerves
and Improve Your Mood

The pile of bills on your desk… your long, grueling commute to the office... marital disagreements... and your kid's failing grades in school all keep you under a constant onslaught of stress and anxiety.

It's no wonder you feel depressed. You find it hard to think straight... remember things… and process new information.

But you don’t have to live with your emotions in a constant state of turmoil.

Herbal tonics and remedies have been used for centuries to soothe anxiety and support healthy moods. They’ve been shown to have a powerful effect on how you feel – and even help shield your brain and nervous system from free radicals and degenerative disease.

They include:

Not Just for Stress

Research has found that tyrosine does more than support your memory and moods. It also has been shown to decrease your blood pressure!79

Remarkable Stress Regulator: L-tyrosine is essential for the production of several important neurotransmitters - including epinephrine, norepinephrine, and dopamine. As I mentioned before, these stress hormones regulate both your nerve cell communications and your mood.

L-tyrosine also supports the organs responsible for making and regulating hormones – including your adrenal, thyroid, and pituitary glands.54

The problem is… when you’re under stress, your body’s production of L-tyrosine plummets. 55 That got researchers wondering if supplementing with the nutrient when you’re experiencing stress could improve your memory and performance.

Animal and human studies say “Yes”! 56

The U.S. military even got in on the action and gave L-tyrosine to soldiers. It worked wonders to help our men and women in uniform to maintain performance and mood in the face of prolonged, stressful situations – such as battle or sleep deprivation.57

Powerful Depression-Fighters: Two remedies found in Nature are especially effective at kicking depression and low moods to the curb:

1) St. John’s Wort: This popular herbal medicine has been used for generations to treat various mental disorders and physical ailments. Current research has found it really shines at treating mild to moderate depression.58

How well does St. John’s wort work to lift depression? Let me put it this way… it was proven in many studies to be just as effective as some prescription antidepressants – including Prozac, Celexa and Zoloft.59

Plus, with St. John's wort, you can enjoy improved moods without suffering from one of the most common side effects of antidepressants – the loss of sex drive.

2) L-Phenylalanine: This brain-saving amino acid produces L-tyrosine in your body – the stress-regulating nutrient I mentioned above. It also helps make important neurotransmitters in your brain – like the hormones serotonin, dopamine, epinephrine and norepinephrine.60

Why is L-phenylalanine so crucial for a good quality of life? If your levels of L-phenylalanine fall too low, your adrenaline plummets… your energy tanks... and those all-important, feel-good neurotransmitters bottom out.61

Researchers have found that depression may, in part, be related to low levels of the epinephrine and norepinephrine. Since L-phenylalanine helps produce those hormones/neurotransmitters, it’s been used to successfully treat patients with depression.62

Amazing Relaxation Enhancer: L-theanine is Nature’s answer to out-of-whack glutamate levels.

I explained earlier about how glutamate levels get out of balance when you’re anxious or depressed. When that happens, they can actually cause a state of excitotoxicity in your brain that eventually damages your nerve cells. L-theanine protects against glutamate’s excitotoxicity and calms the nerve networks in your brain.63

This calming amino acid has been used for centuries to promote relaxation and improve concentration and learning ability.64 And modern researchers are now discovering it works like gangbusters.

Human brainwave studies reported in Neuroscience, Brain Topography and the Journal of Behavior Therapy and Experimental Psychiatry found that L-theanine produces relaxation in subjects – without making them drowsy. Plus, it boosts mental performance – enabling subjects to concentrate better without being distracted by anxiety.65

Plus, several other studies tested the effect of adding L-theanine to caffeine and were delighted to discover it... 66

  • Boosts accuracy and speed of information processing...
  • Makes the subject less susceptible to distraction...
  • Improves switching between tasks...
  • Reduces mental fatigue...
  • Shortens reaction time...
  • And lessens physical symptoms like headache and tiredness.

Step #3
Restore Balance in Your Body and Mind
And Face Life’s Challenges with Ease

By now, you know life is full of trouble.

You get laid off at work. The IRS says you owe money on back taxes. A hacker gets hold of your credit card number and goes on a spending spree.

If it's not one thing, it's another. It's enough to keep you in a constant state of anxiety and emotional turmoil.

But imagine how great it would feel to face each life crisis without losing your cool. Imagine being able to think clearly and come to sound decisions – no matter what the catastrophe.

You don't have to just imagine it. You can keep a calm, cool head in a world of chaos – with the help of a class of herbs called adaptogens.

These powerful herbs help your body cope more effectively with stress by recharging your adrenal gland, which – as you probably remember – is your body’s “first responder” when trouble comes.67 They “normalize” or balance your body's responses – and enable energy to be used more productively.68

Three “adaptogens,” in particular, work wonders to help you adapt easily to the stresses of life:

Ancient Indian Stress Buster: Ashwagandha has been used in traditional Indian medicine for centuries to treat stress, pain, fatigue, and other disorders. And for good reason. Today’s scientists have discovered that this adaptogenic herb helps prevent damage to your neurons and improves your neurological function during times of stress.69

In one double-blind, randomized, clinically-controlled trial, 130 chronically stressed-out subjects took ashwagandha for 60 days. The herb was found to significantly improve their scores on a standardized measurement of stress intensity… improve their blood pressure... and lower their cortisol levels by a staggering 30%.70

Cognitive Performance Enhancer: Rhodiola has been proven in studies to improve both physical endurance and mental performance and reduce fatigue in times of stress. It supports neurotransmitter transport in your brain and helps regulate the release of your stress hormones.71

In a large, placebo-controlled study, Swedish researchers found that subjects suffering from stress-related fatigue had significantly lower cortisol responses to chronic stress after taking rhodiola. Plus, they had lower scores on scales of burnout and improved performance on cognitive testing compared to the subjects taking the placebo.72

Mental Alertness Booster: Eleuthero (also known as Siberian ginseng) has been widely used by the folks in Russia to help them cope better with stress – both mentally and physically.73

But studies have found that this popular adaptogen does more than just help maintain or restore mental wellness. One study reported that middle-aged subjects improved their memory when taking eleuthero. And in another study, elderly people who took the herb improved their mental health and social functioning in just four weeks.74

An even larger study involving 2,100 healthy men and women aged 19 to 72 found that eleuthero helped increase mental alertness and work output… boost athletic performance… improve quality of work… and made it easier for participants to endure adverse conditions, such as heat, noise, and other stressors.75

It's Not Rocket Science

If you want to get your razor-sharp memory back – and put an end to the jokes and teasing you've been enduring about your “senior moments”- it's really quite simple...

Just look at the big picture.

Age-related changes in your brain – which are the main focus of most memory supplements – are just part of the trouble. If you only treat them while ignoring the emotions and moods that may be contributing to your embarrassing bouts of forgetfulness, you’ll be disappointed with your results.

But if you support your brain cell health while calming your anxiety... improving your moods... and optimizing your body's response to stress, you’ll soon find yourself...

  • Recalling important birthdays... anniversaries... and doctor appointments with ease...
  • Quickly locating your keys, reading glasses and other small objects...
