Sciatica Alternative Remedy

Sciatica pain in back of legAre you fed up with prescription pain pills? Tired of being pressured into having risky surgeries to treat sciatica or back pain?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, you are going to want to pay attention to this article. Thankfully, there ARE alternative remedies for sciatica and you DO have options for taking control of your health.

It would be foolish to opt for NSAIDS (pain killers) or surgical procedures without first researching all the other treatment options first. Typically, these types of “treatments” only address the symptoms, not the true cause of your pain.

If you experience the following symptoms it is highly likely that you are experiencing sciatic pain.

Thought the symptoms may vary, many people feel tingling and or burning in the buttocks and glute area of the legs. Some people feel it in one leg, others in both legs and lower back. Keep in mind, this website is not intended to diagnose your condition. As always, consult your physician before using any sciatica alternative remedy.

Muscle Balance Therapy

Sciatica often occurs when the sciatic nerve passes near or through an overly tight piriformis muscle deep in your glutes. When the nerve gets irritated by contact with the muscle, pain, tingling and/or weakness result.

Muscle balance therapy incorporates specific stretching and exercises that target specific muscle imbalances in the body, including the common muscle imbalance which creates an overly tight piriformis muscle.

The self assessment photos and workbook in the Lose The Back Pain® System shows you how to identify the imbalances you have and provides specific stretches and exercises to reverse them, often leading to fast relief of back pain and sciatica. Thousands have achieved lasting relief with even just one of the stretches we recommend for sciatica.

You can find some of our favorite sciatica stretches on the Videos tab here on our website. But for the best long-term results, consider completing the full muscle imbalance assessment and trying the specific corrective stretches and exercises found in our Lose the Back Pain® System.

Inversion Therapy

Another frequent cause of sciatic pain happens when spinal compression causes the sciatic nerve to get pinched as it exits the spinal canal.

Inversion therapy happens to be one of the best known alternative treatments for spinal compression. By reversing the pull of gravity, spinal discs can more easily return to their normal position with adequate space for nerves to exit without getting impinged.

As soon as you release the pressure on the sciatic nerve you get instant relief. And here’s the great news: sciatic pain relief using inversion starts in as little as 10 seconds!
