foods that cause aging

Follow the 7 Powerful Anti-Aging Tips after the 7 Foods below and you CAN Reverse Premature Aging

Now I am not talking about the normal and natural inflammation that is a healthy body’s reaction to irritation, infection, or injury.

I am talking about chronic inflammation, which unfortunately most adults over age 35 have today, and which is when pro-inflammatory substances continue to be released into your body over time, attacking your healthy cells, blood vessels and tissues instead of protecting them.

And unhealthy cells, vessels, and tissues EQUALS premature aging — skin that increasingly looks older than it should, bones that get weaker than they should, depleted energy, and a brain that gets increasingly cloudy too.

When you understand chronic inflammation’s basic processes, in fact, it is no surprise that scientific research (especially over the last decade or so) has shown that it is THE root cause of most of today’s chronic diseases, including cancer, heart attack, diabetes, fibromyalgia, stroke, Alzheimer’s, and more.

And of course, chronic inflammation also means pain.

The VERY Good News!

But here is the wonderful thing about addressing your inflammation: it is never too late. By striving to avoid these foods below, and by taking the positive steps that follow, you really CAN reverse premature aging (and heal and prevent disease and eliminate your pain in the process)!

Below are 7 worst-offender foods that cause premature aging. This means these foods are linked to chronic inflammation — amongst a host of other serious problems these foods can cause!

Further below are 7 CRUCIAL steps to take to banish chronic pain, reverse premature aging, and both heal the underlying causes of and prevent serious disease.

Foods That Cause Aging #1:  Sugar

Sugar provokes chronic inflammation, amongst many other ill effects. It’s not about banishing sugar from your diet entirely, as healthy foods like fruits contain it naturally. Instead the big goal is to eliminate it from all sources you possibly can, so you are only getting it from the natural whole foods like fruit.

Try to avoid table sugar, brown sugar, raw sugar, maple syrup, sorghum syrup, rice syrup, molasses, corn sweetener, liquid cane sugar, dextrose, fructose, glucose, and any other word that ends in an “ose”, barley malt, and concentrated fruit juice, for example. Watch labels carefully for these and other sugar sources.

Foods That Cause Aging #2: Hydrogenated Fats / Trans-Fats

anti-aging tips

Think of these as artificial fat, and think of them as extremely bad for you! In addition to promoting inflammation, trans-fats promote insulin resistance, high cholesterol, and obesity.

They are prevalent in deep-fried foods, commercial baked goods, and fast foods. Watch food labels carefully — and keep in mind in the U.S.A. that foods containing less than .5g of trans fat can be called trans fat free. Avoid margarine, vegetable shortening, and partially hydrogenated oil … watch labels for these, because even if it doesn’t list any trans fat, if it contains these, it likely has some!

Foods That Cause Aging #3: Processed Foods

Processed foods include refined grains, processed meat, and pasteurized dairy.

Refined grains basically have their nutritional value stripped right out of them to make it easier for the food factories to produce and store on grocery store shelves.

The effect of what is left after the nutrition is stripped out of them is very similar to the effect of sugar on your body. Furthermore, processed grain products typically have all sorts of added ingredients that make their health-obliterating effects even worse, such as excess salt, sugar, and artificial ingredients. White rice, white flour, white bread, noodles, pasta, biscuits, and baked goods are a few examples of processed grain foods.

Scientific research shows that processed meat, meanwhile, is a very strong contributor to aging and disease, especially cancer of the colon and rectum. Processed meats include those that have been smoked, salted, cured, or preserved with chemicals, such as lunchmeat with nitrates.

Finally, common milk and dairy products found on your grocer’s shelves are pasteurized, which means it is heated at a temperature just below boiling to kill off bacteria. Pasteurization became widespread early in the 20th century, when it was necessary due to the unsanitary conditions on many dairy farms back then.

Unfortunately, pasteurization also kills off the digestive enzymes in the dairy (which is why so many people today are lactose intolerant)! It also makes around 50% of the calcium in the dairy unusable by your body! What’s left is a lot of milk sugar (lactose) that converts into sugar your body uses very rapidly. Add that to the fact that dairy cows today are force-fed unnatural diets along with antibiotics and growth hormones, and you can see why common milk does NOT do a body good.

Foods That Cause Aging #4: Cooking Oils High in Omega-6

Most peoples’ diets are dangerously high in omega-6, and dangerously low in omega-3, contributing greatly to premature aging and disease. And polyunsaturated vegetable oils like sunflower, corn, safflower, cottonseed, and grape seed oils have very high omega-6 and very low omega-3.

Foods That Cause Aging #5: NON-Naturally Raised Meat

Most beef, pork, and poultry you’ll find at grocery stores and restaurants come from feedlots versus being raised naturally (and humanely.) What this means is that the animals are force-fed diets such as corn and soy that are not their natural foods, in order to rapidly and excessively fatten them up. This results in sick animals, so they’re injected with antibiotics, too. To speed the fatten-them-up-and-sell-them process even more, they are injected with hormones.

What that means is a range of horrible effects on you if you eat this meat, such as high levels of omega-6 fatty acids … and antibiotics and hormones.

To avoid premature aging and disease, seek out only free-range and organic meats from animals fed entirely on their natural diets such as grasses.

Foods That Cause Aging #6: Alcoholanti-aging foods

If you are in generally healthy condition, a glass of red wine or beer daily have both been shown to provide health benefits.

But things turn sour beyond those moderate levels with wine, beer, and other alcoholic beverages, as routine high consumption provokes inflammation, especially of the liver and esophagus.

Foods That Cause Aging #7: Artificial Ingredients

Aspartame. Saccharin. BHA and BHT. Mono-sodium glutamate. Potassium bromate. Sodium nitrate and nitrate. These are some of the worst artificial ingredient offenders. Artificial sweeteners, and other artificial ingredients that preserve, thicken, conceal, or do who-knows-what to food, are ARTIFICIAL … meaning they are not MEANT to go into your body! Many have been linked to all sorts of serious disease including cancer.  If you want to look younger, feel younger, heal and prevent disease, and live longer, seek whole and natural foods on food labels and avoid these deadly agents.

So … now that you know the worst-offenders to avoid, what are 7 of the MOST powerful steps to take to avoid premature aging and heal and prevent disease?

Powerful Anti-Aging Tips #1:
Eat More Natural Foods Rich in Phytonutrients and Antioxidants

foods and agingPhytonutrients are certain organic components from plants that are essential to avoid premature aging and avoid disease. Antioxidants, meanwhile, are molecules found in certain foods that slow or prevent the oxidation of molecules — meaning they reverse and prevent the formation of free radicals in your body, thereby reversing and preventing early aging and disease!

One exceptional source of phytonutrients and antioxidants (and also a lower-sugar fruit source) are berries, such as blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, and cherries.

Garlic, kale, broccoli and other cruciferous vegetables, legumes like kidney beans, chili peppers, onions, spinach and other dark green leafy vegetables, shiitake mushrooms, and sweet potatoes are some other super-healthy foods.

Powerful Anti-Aging Tips #2:
Drink More Clean Water

Study after study confirms it — most people are not drinking nearly enough clean, pure water. It is the essence of life, of course, so its benefits are myriad. But they include flushing the toxins out of your body, helping you feel full so you don’t overeat, and keeping your skin young and healthy.

Powerful Anti-Aging Tips #3:
Be Sure You are Getting Enough CLEAN CoQ10, Omega-3 and Vitamin E!

Vitamin E is essential for preventing early aging, both in terms of your physical appearance and as a powerful antioxidant that protects your cells from free radical damage that leads to cancer, heart attack, and other serious diseases. BE CAREFUL with vitamin E supplements, though, as there are multiple forms of Vitamin E and many contain the synthetic form that can be dangerous.

As already mentioned above, meanwhile, most adults are DANGEROUSLY deficient in omega-3 with DHA and EPA fatty acids that are so essential to avoid and help reverse premature aging, low energy, and serious disease. Again, though, please BEWARE of most omega-3 supplements, as many contain low-grade omega-3 and other ingredients that can actually be harmful.

And finally, be sure you are getting enough CoQ10 in your diet! Again there is a widespread deficiency of this essential compound that acts as the “power switch” for all 100 trillion cells in your body.

Powerful Anti-Aging Tips #4:
Eat Naturally-Raised, Whole, Organic Proteins, Grains, Fruits, and Veggies

foods that cause agingWell, as you can tell from the Foods that Cause Aging above, it is very wise to avoid anything processed, artificial, chemically saturated or altered, or otherwise manipulated by humans. (ALWAYS keep in mind they don’t do this with your health in mind — they do it for profit.)

Instead, seek out meat from animals allowed to range freely, allowed to eat their natural diet that hasn’t been sprayed with pesticides and herbicides, and not injected with steroids, antibiotics, or hormones. For protein, also seek out organic legumes.

Whatever protein sources you choose, make sure it is clean and that you get plenty of it in your diet — protein is increasingly essential as you get older; starting around the age of 40, muscle mass begins to decline by up to 1 percent yearly, and protein is critical to slow that process!

Also seek out foods made from whole organic grains — be careful of products stating “Made from Whole Grains!” because often that means whole grains are one of the ingredients, along with processed grains and all sorts of other harmful ingredients. (Watch those labels!)

And seek out fresh, organic, and ideally locally grown vegetables and fruits, too.

Powerful Anti-Aging Tips #5:
Sleep Properly, Sleep Well!

Research just keeps on proving that getting proper sleep is fundamental to avoiding premature aging, to healing and preventing disease, and to overcoming pain. Amongst its many other functions, good sleep is key to helping greatly reduce the impact of emotional stress on your health and wellbeing.

Powerful Anti-Aging Tips #6:
No Excuses — Exercise!

You have heard about the extreme importance of exercise before … countless times, probably. You KNOW it is critical to avoid premature aging, to increase your energy, and to heal and prevent disease already. It is also one of the most effective ways to reduce the emotional stress that contributes to premature aging and disease!

But I realize that knowing in theory the importance of exercise is not the problem.

The problem is staying committed to DOING it.  That’s why I humbly urge you to try our…

Powerful Anti-Aging Tips #7:
Do Not Wait: Fight Your Chronic Inflammation Starting Now — Naturally

Far too many people ignore the pain they are feeling in their body, some because they think they are helpless or it is “normal,” others because they think they can “tough it out.”

Ignoring the pain now means ignoring your chronic inflammation now, and that is about the most dangerous mistake you can possibly make. As you know by now, chronic inflammation is the underlying cause of premature aging — from how your skin looks to how much daily energy you have to how focused your brain is.

And as you know by now, chronic inflammation is the underlying cause of most serious diseases, including cancer and heart attack.

Hi Jesse – thanks for the great tips on anti aging. I totally agree about the ‘bad foods’ to avoid. I just wonder when the food industries are going to be taken to task about the amount of white sugar, or sweeteners they put into the easy to get hold of foods?

Once we know what’s bad that should make it easier to choose the good food options, whats a shame is that they are often far more expensive! My view is its all about balance, so long as I’m doing more good than bad to my body i’ll live longer and enjoy my life.

    Thanks Again,

    Matthew

Good advice but I would not be recommending the consumption of fructose (fruit) for anyone who is serious about slowing down the aging process. It enhances glycation(cross linking of sugars to proteins) one of the key instigators in the aging process.
There are plenty of studies with science to back it up.
    http://jn.nutrition.org/content/128/9/1442.full

On the same note fructose and galactose undergo glycation at about 10 times the rate as does glucose.

Glycation is something we should try and avoid and one way of doing this is keeping all sugars to an absolute minimum, including fruit!

The endothelial cells of the blood vessels are damaged directly by glycations, which are implicated in atherosclerosis, for example. Atherosclerotic plaque tends to accumulate at areas of high blood flow (such as the entrance to the coronary arteries) due to the increased presentation of sugar molecules, glycations and glycation end-products at these points. Damage by glycation results in stiffening of the collagen in the blood vessel walls, leading to high blood pressure. Glycations also cause weakening of the collagen in the blood vessel walls, which may lead to micro- or macro-aneurisms; this may cause strokes if in the brain.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems to me that most of us take life for granted in the sense that we go about our daily routine and work-related challenges without giving a second thought to many of the nutritional suggestions put forth in a site like yours ….until, that is, something starts hurting, or we gradually can’t seem to perform in the same manner as we did earlier. I can’t help but wonder if implementing many of the nutritional suggestions put forth at a much earlier age, even into our youth, wouldn’t stave off most of the aging processing we experience in life after 40 or 50 and beyond ? Why wait until we sense the change? Are there any studies out which validate that an earlier onset of better nutrition (as a preventative measure, if you will), can reap even far better results in a healthier and more enjoyable life style throughout our entire lifespan? Or does our youthful metabolism make the necessary adjustments to wrongful nutritional intake so that dietary improvement at that stage in life would have little effect? I would seriously invite your return comments about this.

I’d love to try your sleep inducing medication but it contains a hefty dose of Melatonin. This hormone enhances the immune system by stimulating it — and this is the very last thing anyone with an autoimmune illness needs. It would therefore make diseases like RA, Crones, Lupus, Scleroderma etc much worse, Surely you need to mention this important warning in your advertising.

Similarly dangerous to some people, the body inverter you recommend for back pain raises Blood Pressure to levels which in some people could be critical — again no warning of this in your promotional info.

Please, I’d like to see your comment on these issues

One food you should not eat is milk containing A1 Beta Casein and a few others are wheat, rye and barley.. The milk by the way has been related to type 1 diabetes when given to babies less than 4 months old. The Gluten in the grains disables villi in the upper intestine so that nutrients are not absorbed. This leads to increased hunger with obvious results.
